Receiver Roy Williams is adjusting to life in Dallas. He spent Tuesday house hunting before heading to Frisco to don an apron at Pizza Hut.

Last year, Williams delivered pizzas in Detroit for a day after commenting that he didn’t tip pizza delivery guys. He raised $10,000 for Pizza Hut’s hunger-relief effort.

He raised money Tuesday at a Pizza Hut in Frisco, where he signed mini footballs for a $10 donation. Williams challenged Baltimore’s Mark Clayton, a former star at Oklahoma and Arlington Sam Houston High; Tampa Bay’s Davin Joseph; and Seattle’s Chris Spencer to do the same in their respective cities.

"Every six seconds a child dies from hunger somewhere in the world," Williams said. "Hearing this fact inspired me to get involved and do something."

Tank’s coaching tips

One of coach Wade Phillips’ new changes will be to simplify his 3-4 defensive scheme.

Nose tackle Tank Johnson’s suggestion is rushing outside linebackers DeMarcus Ware and Greg Ellis on every play rather than dropping them into coverage at times.

"We’ve got to be able to bring Greg Ellis and Ware off the edge every time. Every single time," Johnson said. "Because those two are the best in the business, and that’s going to make our whole entire defense a lot more simple."

Sack truth

Much has been made of the offensive line’s lack of pass protection in the past few games, but statistics tell a different story.

The Cowboys have allowed the ninth-fewest sacks in the NFL with 10. They are tied with Carolina, Philadelphia and San Diego.

To really be in trouble is to be in San Francisco, where the 49ers have allowed a league-leading 29 sacks.

On the opposite end, Tennessee has allowed only two sacks.

Good guy work

Linebacker Greg Ellis visited students at Arcadia Park Elementary School in Dallas on Tuesday to help "coach" a pedestrian-safety clinic in time for Halloween. The event was part of the fifth annual FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week program, in which FedEx donated funding to the Dallas area coalition of Safe Kids, a nonprofit organization that works to prevent accidental injury among children.

Interesting...b/c that wouldn't open even BIGGER holes in the secondary...

We are seeing how much Romo sits to pee's ability to elude pressue is bailing out that line...

So essentially he wants them to run a 5-2 defense.

draw plays would lead to some big gains

As would screens, slants, quick-ins, swing passes, TE-out routes...and if they get picked up...either a TE is covered by Hamlin or Watkins/Davis, or a WR is single covered by Henry, Jenkins or Scandrick. I like those odds.

Really what can it hurt...The 3-4 in not working with the secondary that Dallas is putting on the field right now.....If rushing both can get the QB into the mind frame that he has to release the ball faster the chance of the big play decreases...sure it puts the 3 step drop for a quick slant into play big time but it will hopefully stop the 5 step drop and having 5-7 seconds to survey the field crap to an end...The giants played this perfectly during the playoffs last year by rushing the QB into pass plays they really did not want to throw.......Wade knows his job was on the line coming into this season......JJ has tasked him into play calling the plays for the D now and if he wants a chance to come back next year or even have a chance at a hire anywhere else he better turn the D around fast since that is suppose to be the area that he is an expert in.........

Funny stuff from Tank.

Ware already comes a vast majority of the time. Not sure about Ellis. But the funny part about this is that Tank is pretty much saying that the coaches are blowing it. It's always great fun when players question coaching strategies/tactics in a public medium - as long as it's not your team doing it :).

Not to mention that it's so utterly simplistic as to be pointless. Several posters here have pointed out how easily it can be exploited, not to mention how it takes guesswork away from the offense, changes the Cowboy scheme to a 4-3, and will probably limit Tank's snaps even more than they already are .
