Current sack leaders in the NFL to this date (defensive linemen)

John Abraham- 7 - Draft position: Round 1 Pick 15 2000 Draft

Albert Haynesworth- 6 - Draft position: Round 1 Pick 15 2002 Draft

Aaron Kampman- 6 - Draft position: Round 5 Pick 156 2002 Draft

Mario Williams- 6 - Draft position: Round 1 Pick 1 2006 Draft

Kevin Williams- 6 - Draft position: Round 1 Pick 9 2003 Draft

Jared Allen- 5 - Draft position: Round 4 Pick 126 2004 Draft

Shaun Ellis- 5 - Draft position: Round 1 Pick 12 2000 Draft

Robert Mathis- 5 - Draft position: Round 5 pick 138 2003 Draft

Fred Robbins- 5 - Draft position: Round 2 pick 55 2000 Draft

Justin Tuck- 5 - Draft position: Round 3 pick 74 2005 Draft

Leonard Little- 4.5 - Draft position: Round 3 pick 65 1998 Draft

Juqua Parker- 4.5 - Draft position: Undrafted

Bertrand Berry- 4 - Draft position: Round 3 pick 86 1997 Draft

8/13 players were not 1st round picks, however 5/6 players with 6 or more sacks in the NFL are former 1st round picks.

Personally I think that sacks are an overrated method for judging a player's importance to a team, especially a defensive tackle of all players.

I like what we have already. they are getting the job done and don't have behaviorial issues.. Haynesworth is a beast, but look at the past DT monsters we'ver paid big money to, none really worked out other than Griffin.

Nuts :)

Albert would be a great addition to this line. Instantly, the Redskins defensive line would be amongst the best in football and instead of being a top ten defense overall, we would likely be a top five defense.

Also, Dan Wilkinson was a very good DT and played well for us.

Daryl Gardener was an absolute monster for us too.
