He seems like he is more NFL ready than Thomas or Kelly. Put him in coach!
RIPSean
I was expecting the video to be completely blank. But it's his college highlights.
Gibbs Hog Heaven
Give it time. The Z-Man didn't sign off on this pick on a whim. I'm sure as we go along, and Fred Davis assimilates more to life as a pro, and gets a full understanding of Coach Z's playbook, he'll be part of the vaunted two tight end sets we heard so much about, with Yoda taking more of a back seat. Cooley and Davis could end up the best Tight End tandem in the League. Give it time. Hail.
D'Pablo
Cooley and Davis seem like the same exact kind of TE. Their play is very very similar.
Bacon
I want to see some twin TE sets with Cooley and Davis by the end of the season. That's what we picked him up for, correct?
XxSpearheadxX
The only thing not NFL ready about Kelly is his knee. Thomas has gotten much more time than Davis, why do you think FD is so NFL ready?
truskinsfan18
He plays a lot like Cooley only he looks to be faster as well. Our offense will be very dynamic in the redzone once he gets up to speed. If teams double cover Cooley across the middle while Davis is in, Davis runs a drag over the middle he will be free. There will be no way they can account for that many weapons if our offensive like can give Campbell time.
nace14
i'd rather see a tight end catch the ball in the middle of the field and go right upfield with it as opposed to always trying to get to the sidelines whenever he catches a pass.

cyfar
Granted it would be nice if these guys were performing but aren't people asking a bit too much out of our Rooks? I think that these guys will show up big for us in the later part of the season as we make our push for the playoffs.
APBT
We can't seem to get our starters to do what they are suppose to do. Why would we want to place emphasis on a green rookie right now?? What the coaches need to do is teach our STARTERS, how to catch and HOLD THE DAMN BALL!!~~
RedskinsSuperBowl21
So did Thomas and Kelly Thomas did his junior and senior year so that is promising. Oklahoma is known for their spread offense under Stoops. Thomas +1 Kelly -
