NewCliche21
mcNabb will throw downfield anyway.. So my point is Landry should be ready this week for the eagles to go downfield more than the cowboys did.Landry wasn't really forced to make any plays on Sunday so knowing andy reid and mcnabb they will probably force him to make a play. To think that mcnabb wont throw down field because Landry is sitting back there is ridiculous.. He threw down field with Sean Taylor back there so expect him to do it with a sophomore safety back there as well. You're not thinking this through at all. We've played New York, Arizona, New Orleans, and Dallas. Go look at their offensive rankings (top five to save you time). Why the hell wouldn't they just "Throw it downfield anyway" if the Eagles would? Why would the Eagles throw into someone who was a Pro Bowl alternate his rookie year? Do you think that Reid and McNabb are stupid or something? And they did NOT throw it when Sean was back there, hence the score of the two games last year prior to his injury. Jeeez, man.
HereComesTheDiesel44
He is a beast but I wouldnt say he is our defense. Lets not forget our other young members of the secondary (Horton, Moore, Doughty, Rogers, etc.) that had one hell of a game. As did Rocky and Fletch. Plenty of props to go around. terpfan
Fletcher is the heart and soul of the defense. Landry is like the secret weapon. You dont notice him all the time from your coach at home, but I guarantee you opposing QBs notice him back there. You want to know where you can see Landry's impact? just look at the plays Chris Horton has been able to make... When the QB is worried about one guy, it tends to open up opportunities for others. Troy Fakeman
Laron was quiet that game...especially on the T.O. TD. My boys and I all agree...his mind looked like it was elsewhere...and that's completely O.K. I think his mind is on his brother...and rightfully so. turbodiesel#44
He virtually shuts the deep ball down by himself, allowing the corners to play super aggressive without worrying what happens if their guy gets behind them deep. Yeah, I see him as more of an insurance policy, which allows the rest of the D to play more aggressively, both on the ground and in the air. BigMike619
he is definitely a key piece but he is still too young and inexperienced to be the heart and soul. i give that london or springs in the backfield.
