SkinzFan007
anyone else wonder if laron gets find for wearing the purple LSU pads under his jersey?
DeccanSkins
Keep Ya Head Up Laron. Him getting trucked looked eerily like Mike Sellers laying down the boom on Kenoy Kennedy last year. Hope that it doesn't screw with Laron's head - he's still our biggest playmaker on D.
Papabear
If he doesn't go shoulder to shoulder against him Landry has Jacobs ALL DAY. Regardless of size Landry knows how to tackle people, even those bigger than him. It's been awhile, he won't make that mistake again. Just kind of sucks that every fu%k up I'd see tonight on D I'd think "Well if Sean was there..." Yeah I hear you, but there's no "I" in team. NeueRedskinWelle
Did Landry get credited for a tackle on this play? It looks like LL pulled him down by the ankle after he got trucked. Not sure but watching it live I figured it was his tackle.
NeueRedskinWelle
Yeah I hear you, but there's no "I" in team. Which sean taylor do you remember? :hump:
Hitman#21
Landry was all over in the second half like the whole skins d....he also barely missed a pic like a few others..
Papabear
Which sean taylor do you remember? :hump: Well he showed Owens who was boss all the time, but I believe dallas still beat us a few of those times also. Anywho.
Sharick8888
Just know that some guy on the Giants message board is going to have the video clip signature of Jacobs trucking LaRon. They will be watching that for a loooooooooooong time and giggling everytime they watch it. We already are. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Capt. Kaos
My only complaint with Landry tonight was that he dropped an interception THAT HIT HIM RIGHT IN THE HANDS. He better learn how to catch those if he wants to be a real player in this league. That was a tough catch for anyone. Still goes back to the old saying... if he could catch he'd be a receiver.... LL had a good game overall, looking forward to him working out some kinks.
hitmandm
Landry is gonna be a great one...but were spiled. The difference between Landry and Taylor is that Taylor doesn't get trucked like that. But Taylor was once in a lifetime.
westcoasthog
Didn't they say Jacobs outweighs him by 65 lbs? Landry is a beast! He's one of the few bright spots we have!
NeueRedskinWelle
Well he showed Owens who was boss all the time, but I believe dallas still beat us a few of those times also. Anywho. Not in the games that matterd. But I digress. Skins are fine imo, 10-6 here we come.
MumboSauce
Alot of guys get trucked by a 270 pound running back with full steam ahead. You youngsters worry to much about image.Would rather look good and lose, than look bad and win. Oh please coffin dodger give it a rest! Take you all night to come up with that one? kidding. Laron will be fine. I think he could play smarter though. He did start to wrap up more and settle in as the game went on. He was definitely rusty. As far as his getting trucked...eh. that was pretty bad but you win some you lose some. Jacobs also gave him a nice forearm shiver to add on to being run over. One thing I can say..next time he will stick his hat right in there again without hessitation.he's that kind of dude..but maybe he'll go a little lower. lol only ST could bang Jacobs head on and not get trampled. jivelikenice
Landry got better as the game went on and made some plays. He had a chance at a pick in the 2nd half that more often then not he'll come down with.
BoRnAndRaiSedSkinsFan
Anybody who tries to tackle Jacobs from the hips up gets trucked. That's the end of that.
Taylor21_INT_4_TD
i would take my boy sean hips up on brandon. but thats just me.
RDSKNfaithfull
It reminded me of Greg Jones trucking Sean Taylor. No matteer how good you are or how hard you hit if a big back is running full speed at you and you are standing still or taking 3 steps the bigger guy is going to win. beatles2885
Landry got knocked hard, got banged up on the play, and still was able to grab the ankle for the tackle. What the hell is wrong with you people?
Main-Maine
He can look for him all he wants, but be real dude, nobody is going to lay wood on Jacobs. Man I wish Sean Taylor was here because i would have nominated him so fast lol!!!:(:(
CaLLaHaN
They can have that, but we have this. Thank you Ms. 4lyf. thats more of a cheapshot but jacobs truck was brutal :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy
deejaydana
There is no DB in the league that can handle Jacobs when he gets a running start like he had on that play the OP is talking about. With that said, how many freaking times did NBC have to show that play. I wanted to puke. Landry will rally, he's prolly the best player on our entire d, short of Fletcher. Truant
It was an okay performance. He was a tad slow in getting over to help on a few plays and, if you're a top 10 pick at Safety, if you get two hands on a pass, secure the ball. It'll take time and I can understand that he's rusty. It's undeniable that he was embarrassed by Jacobs. 90% of safeties would suffer the same result, but on national TV he's going to see and hear that for a LONG time. Easily the "jacked up" play of the game. Insult to injury. He's gotta pay Jacobs back next time...
jivelikenice
It happens to the best of them. Although we'd like to compare him to ST, he's not that type of safety and seems to be more in the Dawkins mold. On this board we've given Dawk and hard time when he's been trucked and now the same happened to Landry...He'll bounce back and make plans...Hopefully he learned from this that he needs to stay low when giving up 65 pounds to a running back. beatles2885
he STILL made the tackle....I don't get what the problem is. Landry stopped quite a few plays from being a lot more than they could have been tonight. He played a GREAT game.
