Slateman
This is a knife . . . As divers, we all know what the effects of compressed gas are underwater. Our training teaches us that our lungs would burst from over-inflation if we held our breath and rose to the surface. This principle is key to the effectiveness of the WASP Injection System. This weapon injects a frozen ball of compressed gas approximately the size of a basketball at 850psi nearly instantly. The effects of this injection will drop many of the world's largest land predators. The effects of the compressed gas not only cause over-inflation during ascent when used underwater, but also freezes all tissues and organs surrounding the point of injection on land or at sea. When used underwater, the injected gas carries the predator to the surface BEFORE blood is released into the water. Thus giving the diver added protection by diverting other potential predators to the surface. I think I'm gonna need one of these when I go to Afghanistan . . . twa
Interesting concept that could certainly be handy with sharks, but I would prefer superior firepower in a war zone.

Nah....you just need to be able to swim faster than your dive buddy.....

twa
Well, those type of knives in general are made for close combat. Jus' Sayin' When it comes to blades I'm not much of a fan of gimmicks. I'd suggest an old faithful like the Gerber mkII,two piece construction on a blade is a recipe for failure. I'd even recommend it over the Fairbairn-Sykes (which is a nice blade)
Jumbo
I actually like the idea, but tend to agree with what twa said. And the Gerber is sweet.

Ka bar is a great multi use blade and much more reasonably priced. Doesn't the military still supply them?
