Leonard Washington
I was trying to visit the NSA website (www.nsa.gov) and I was having no luck. Can some of you try it out and let me know if you can access it?

Leonard Washington
What happens when you choose the .html version of the site? I don't get that far. Failed to Connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.nsa.gov. Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection. * Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later. * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection. * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing. I always suspected the people upstairs may be terrorists from the raid, standing in front of their window at all times of the day/night, and now I can't access the NSA webpage. Hmmmm. But you can access other sites, no? And you are on your own network I presume. It's certainly possible that the IP-range for your building has been filtered and won't let anyone access the site from within that range, but I find it hard to believe they'd do that to a publicly accessible website. If the "bad guys" really wanted to access a site they are being blocked from based on IP, they could just buy a verizon wireless adapter, or go to a library. Did you recently upgrade to Firefox 3? Yea I can access other websites fine. I do have Firefox 3 but Internet Explorer doesn't work either. I just wanted to look at their job postings. As for the bad guys I would assume they're blocking access to and from NSA IP ranges to prevent their detection. I don't really think they are terrorists...the FBI and CIA webpages work fine and I doubt NSA snooping work occur using the website's IP ranges. Could you post a random NSA page link to see if I can access it? I'd like to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Are you telling me their internal Unclass Intranet doesn't connect to the web? No wonder national security sucks in this country. They're not even privy to the latest news!
