Darc Requiem
Which ever one of the guys plays best. I don't care if its Wilson, Buzbee, Huntley or Jackson. Whoever plays best on the field should have the job period.

SkinsManNJ
For some reason I have a weird feeling that Julius Peppers will be a Redskin after this coming season. Even if Buzbee and or Wilson can show they can hold their own for 3 downs.

Even if Buzbee and or Wilson can show they can hold their own for 3 downs. Peppers will be hard to lure away from NC, and it will break the bank. I'd rather go after will smith from NO, he's 3 years younger than peppers as well.
SkinsAllDay34
I saw Buzbee play at G town. He was good there even though it was 1AA competition. He even got bigger then when I saw him then so he could turn out ok. Give him a shot he could produce. I also saw in preseason he nearly got to quarterback multiple times just before the throw. he could be something
SkinsManNJ
I don't look at numbers. What I saw were offenses that could not run on the left side of our defense. Could not. Not to mention the timely forced fumbles and tipped passes Daniels seemed to always come through with. Daniels is very well the best DE runstopper we have. Pass rushing is not his speacialty. But his replacement will be found in the next couple of seasons. So I don't think we need to worry about that this year. But grooming someone to be the replacement is not a bad idea in anyway. Daniels will be our DE/DT run speacialist for the next 1-2 years. So hopefully someone will step in and fill the potential void. Maybe just maybe Wilson is the cheaper answer to Carter. Possible? AAARedskin
I would like to see somebody who is talented replacing him. Perhaps next season the Skins can use a high draft pick on a great D-lineman to replace him....

Ray Brown---- Even though Will Smith is younger I just see N.O. putting the tag on him more than Carolina doing so with Peppers. Smith seemingly would be the smarter choice, because of age but both I think would cost an arm, not sure why but I just have a funny feeling that Peppers will be here, and contribute well. I would gladly welcome Smith, but its just that weird feeling that I have, ya know?

Hopefully he doesn't go off this year so we don't have to pay an arm and a leg to get him.

So here is two things we can both hope for. (1) Smith doesn't get slapped with the tag. (2) J. Pep doesn't have an outbreak year and that he won't be to hard to pry away from Carolina. So hopefully we have some luck and get either one these guys. Or one of our guys show up and prove that we don't need either one of these guys
Ray Brown
SkinsMan-- I like how we see eye to eye on this issue:cheers: . Obviously the best situation would be for one of the guys on our team (wilson, buzbee, evans, etc.) to step up and have a good year so that the FO is comfortable with keeping them as Daniels long term replacement. If this fails to happen...danny boy- open that checkbook again.

Uno Mas
Daniels should be good to go for at least one more year. IMO Campbell is overrated and I'm glad we didn't pick him up. I'll watch him this year, but i don't expect much. There are some good DE's who will be free agents after this year as well. (Peppers and Will Smith from the Saints.) Campbell may be overrated, who knows. I do know that had he come out last year, he would have been someones top ten bust, if indeed he turns out to be a bust. But he has the size and ability to stop the run, which is what we depend on Daniels for. IF Campbell can improve his quickness and speed, he could potentially be an all around DE. I thought he was worth the risk in the late second round.

Ray Brown
We snag Peppers after he rebounds back to his normal self and gets franchised. Give up the 2 #1s i would never give up 2 #1's for peppers. personally, i hope he improves a little but not back to his old standards so it will be cheaper to pick him up.
