Click on link if interested in reading this clown's latest attempt to blame others for his screwups. In this episode our hero is blaming the do nothing Congress.

Did anyone point out that because of the "do nothing Congress", the country's still following the course that the GOP put it on?

All Bush has ever done is blame problems on other people.

However, I feel that Congress has, for the last eight years or so, completely abdicated its responsibilities to be our representatives and kowtowed to the interests of corporations and the extremely wealthy.

But Bush quickly said that he favors longer-term fixes, such as encouraging new oil production in the United States and building new refineries at home. He renewed his call for opening areas of Alaska wilderness to oil exploration and production.

It's about time!! I think he may finally getting it. I agree that the republican led congress didn't do anything about this problem before, but in thier defense, when things are going fine, you don't really push for things as hard as when things aren't.

History will judge him as the incompetent bungler that he is, already has the lowest approval rating of any President in the modern era. Can't wait until 01/20/09 in so much as Congress does not have the balls to hold him accountable and impeach him we are forced to wait until 01/20/09

Worst president with some of the following facts:

1. 3 Trillion dollors deficit from the Clinton's surplus

2. More than 4000 soldiers died and 500 Billions dollors for the most unsuccessful wars

3. USA was most respected during Clinton admin, now that it is most unpopular

4. Highest gas and food prices for no good reasons

5. Katrina's goverment act is the most shame! — even undevelopment country would not happen in the modern history

I really cant understand what he is talking about. Nancy Pelosi promised to fix everything when the Democrats took office in 2007, right?

That was 16 months ago so I assume all the problems are gone or on the verge of being fixed.

She has a common sense plan to lower gas prices, too.. and well - I am sure that will kick in any day now.

The only approval rating lower than Bush's is the Democratic controlled congress.

Unfortunately you are correct, which is pathetic for our country. We do not have an ounce of trust in the executive branch (friggin charlatans) nor do we have an ounce of trust in the legislative branch (gutless wimps) I am a registered GOP and have never been so disgusted in government as I have been the last 7 and a half years. Only saving grace for me is I SAW BUSH FOR THE BULL*****ER he is and he NEVER GOT MY VOTE

Still admiring all the people who'll swear that the GOP bears no responsibility whatsoever after 6 years of complete control the government, but that the Democrats are 100% responsible for everything in the country after 1 year of just barely controlling one branch.

Really. Keep it up. It's kind of cute.

Did Clinton have to go through a 9/11?

4. Highest gas and food prices for no good reasons

Is that really Bush's fault?

The state governments are not to blame?

Did Clinton have to go through a 9/11?

International approval of the US was at it's highest levels in the history of this country, post 9/11.

It was when Bush decided to use that as an excuse to invade a country and start building bases, international kidnapping, and torturing people, that our popularity went from "best in history" to "worst in history".

Bush may not be responsible for 9/11. He certainly is responsible for his reaction to it.

I would question whether it is the worst in history,in fact in Asia we have gained over historical levels.

Taking a look at the G-8 members you might even say we have had a positive influence thru the Bush years. :silly:

Esteem for US rises in Asia

Greg Sheridan, Foreign editor | April 26, 2008

THE US war in Iraq has strengthened its strategic position, especially in terms of key alliances, and the only way this could be reversed would be if it lost the will to continue the struggle and abandoned Iraq in defeat and disarray.

Surely the author of this sentence is on the ganja, you might say. Something a little weird in the coffee? It goes against every aspect of conventional wisdom.

But the author of this thesis, stated only marginally less boldly, is one of the US's most brilliant strategic analysts. Mike Green holds the Japan chair at Washington's Centre for Strategic and International Studies and was for several years the Asia director at the National Security Council. He is also one of America's foremost experts on Japan and northeast Asia generally.

His thesis, applied strictly to the US position in Asia, is correct.

Wondering how much of that is because Islam is spreading (often violently) into a lot of places in Asia.

If that were the only criteria we would be more popular everywhere ;)

But I do agree the Asians see radical Islam as a problem that has been growing,France,England the Dutch and others have been catching on as well.

But I think were getting way OT

btw...Try 50. (If not 150.), is only too true :applause:

Might I remind people how much filibustering went on when the repubs were in power. They were lucky if they could've gotten anything done. However, they always had the nuclear option which they didn't have the guts to pull off and had they, would have accomplished more. Their fault was not playing hard like the dems.

With that said, I do believe they squandered their chance and did a horrble job!! So my critisism of the dems is equal.

As I see it, the repubs went for the moral high ground and it back fired on them misserably!! Which gave them neither the high ground or anything to show for it.

On the other hand the dems went for the political grandstanding and in turn they are accomplishing nothing also. So IMO both parties are losing the battle!!

Whereas the Democrats, of course, don't have that excuse.

Right. The GOP didn't utilize their power to steamroll the opposition, to set their agenda, to bundle bills into packages that favor their party. No, only those evil Democrats do that.

Wusses like it when other countries act like them. You know, birds of a feather.

But, when they're told, "We need to stop acting like a bunch of wusses", then you're accused of just being a bully.

I'd rather be feared by a bully, than approved of, by a wuss.
