AKM311
I think Adrian Arrington may fall to this area and hope we can get him. He is raw, but has a good amount of potential. Unless we get Mario Manningham in the 2nd.
GURU
Predicting late round picks like that is practically impossible. I think the best way, as a drafting philosophy, to approach those late rounds is to look for more highly rated players who have slipped through the cracks, and it happens every year. I think it's silly to target certain positions in the 6th and 7th rounds. Many prospects who are projected as late round picks are often available as free agents after the draft, anyway. burgold1210
offensive guard andrew crummey from maryland was considered a 3-4 round talent until he broke his leg at the senior bowl( or was it the north south all star game?). he will not be able to work out before the draft and could be a steal in round 5 or

mistertim
The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Round 5 I'd like us to pick up that kid Brian Johnston, DE from Gardner-Webb if he is there, though he might go in the 4th. Reading about the guy he seems like a beast and an extremely hard worker. His workout for scouts was ridiculous for a guy his size (6-4, 274): 4.66 40 yard dash 1.51 10 yard dash 35 inch vertical 10 yard split was the same as Darren McFadden 4.18 20 yard shuttle...faster than any DE or RB at the combine. wildbill1952
These are the perfect rounds to see if there are any kickers, punters or good special teamers out there. A bust here doesn't cost you. Take a chance on a guy who was projected at the start of the college season to be a 2nd or 3rd rounder, but injury reduced his value. Keep an eye out for the small college guys or someone that has poor technique but good atleticism. Technique can be taught. Youth, size and speed cannot be. Unfortunately, with 127 picks plus compensatories coming ahead of the first pick in the fifth round, the pickings are slim and cannot be planned. This is the real chance for the the scouts and the GM to shine. But this requires work. It takes countless hours of looking at tape to find these guys. Everybody knows Branden Albert is going to be great and barring injury or jail, the same can be said for about 85% of the first round picks. It doesn't require great scouts to find that talent. Finding talent in a game of Bowling Green vs. Kent State, now that's finding a diamond in the rough. If Vinny ever wants to be considered more than just another GM, this is where he and his department of scouts can shine.
