Bacon
I hate the Giants so much, but I must say that I am impressed with Manning's consistent QB play. No turnovers, no fumbles, no major mistakes... What to do you all think sparked this, and what can GB do to shake him up?
Tom [Giants fan]
I guess playing that last game hard against New England was a good idea by Coughlin.
asnpcwiz
All I can say is...he's a Manning. What do you expect? It even took Peyton time to mature.
Bacon
']I guess playing that last game hard against New England was a good idea by Coughlin. I believe so. Even though they lost, the game really lit the team's collective fuse. Good call on Coughlin's part. Also, perhaps being embarrassed by the Skins forced him to get refocused. Shilsu
We'll know for sure if Eli Manning's just been fluking along when he has to deal with the conditions at the Frozen Tundra.

BlueinBuf
I thought I read it was 6 years before peyton won his first playoff game
Bacon
I thought I read it was 6 years before peyton won his first playoff game Ugh...the last thing the Skins need is Peyton part dos on the opponent's sideline. I just simply refuse to believe that Eli has the tools, intangibles, and sheer drive to match his brother. Shilsu
I thought I read it was 6 years before peyton won his first playoff game Yeah, but Eli Manning's first four years and Peyton Manning's first four years are no comparison. Peyton Manning 1998 - 26 TD, 28 INT, QB Rating: 71.2 1999 - 26 TD, 15 INT, QB Rating: 90.7 2000 - 33 TD, 15 INT, QB Rating: 94.7 2001 - 26 TD, 23 INT, QB Rating: 84.1 Eli Manning 2004 - 6 TD, 9 INT, QB Rating: 55.4 (Eli Manning only started 7 games) 2005 - 24 TD, 17 INT, QB Rating: 75.9 2006 - 24 TD, 17 INT, QB Rating: 77.0 2007 - 23 TD, 20 INT, QB Rating: 73.9 I remember in 2001, when the Redskins played the Colts under Marty, the general consensus was already that Peyton was a great quarterback that we had to watch out for. Meanwhile, still no one fears Eli.
