ACW
i don't think Peterson is quite ready for the top fighters @ 135lbsHe's ranked pretty high: I'd look for both him and Lamont to both get Big 4 title shots sometime in '09. expensivegift
The Campbell-Guzman fight is now a non-title fight since Guzman came in 3.5 pounds over the limit. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=15879
ACW
Wow, that's not just missing it, that's REALLY missing it (though, as I've said, I'd make the weightclasses every 15 lbs, but it's not, so that's kinda moot).
StillUnknown
its disappointing that he didn't make weight. he's always had a history of cutting a lot of weight, then blowing back up overnight. he needs to just go to 140 and be done with it, i think he would do fine at 140 anyway. as for the Peterson's they may be ranked high, but their missing something that the top flight fighters at their respective divisions have. they haven't improved on a fight to fight basis as much as i would have expected them to. StillUnknown
Bradley won a pretty lopsided unanimous decision over Cherry. good showing from Bradley, he should get the winner of Hatton/Malignaggi Mora/Forrest is just starting
StillUnknown
through 6 rounds, Forrest is really working Mora over. i scored the first round even only because neither fighter did anything. all the rest have been pretty clear for Forrest. this is resembling what everybody thought they'd see in the first fight
StillUnknown
this Casamayor/Marquez fight has been great through 4 rounds i would hate to be judge in this fight, you're splitting hairs. all 4 rounds have been extremely close we could see some wildly different scores for this fight
StillUnknown
Marquez drops Casamayor late in the 11th, Casamayor gets up only to see Marquez blitz him to drop him again and the ref stops the fight first time Casamayor has ever been stopped great fight, all credit to Marquez. smashmowf
Paul Williams moves up 2 classes to middleweight, tonight at 9 on Versus. Wow.....I knew he was fighting....but I didnt realize he was moving that far up...he has the frame for it.....power maybe a different issue. StillUnknown
Paul's fought at middleweight before, but not in quite some time. it'll be interesting to see how he carries the extra weight. i actually think the constant cutting to 147 may have sapped some of his power, so its possible carryin the extra weight could benefit his punching power. although his technique is what should generate the power, when he sits down on his punches as in the 2nd Quintana fight he's deadly. Margarito needs to rematch him and stop BS'n. Paul's people offered him 4mil which would've been Marg's biggest payday and Marg refused
ACW
The thing you gotta respect about Punisher is his willingness to take on ANYBODY. He's not one to back down :applause:
StillUnknown
Chris Arreola is a good american prospect at HW, but damn he needs lose those rolls of fat. to come into the fight that heavy is damn near disrespectful to the fight game
ACW
Arreola can PUNCH though. NICE win by local guy Bayan Jargal I've seen him fight a few times live; a bit raw, but VERY good.

ACW
Williams via TKO (following a knockdown) in 1:38 of the first :rotflmao: EDIT: Seemed just as quick as at welter. I'd not be surprised to see him challenge Pavlik. That would be interesting: Punisher is QUICK, strong, and has ridiculous reach. StillUnknown
Margarito don't want it with The Punisher he looked very impressive at middleweight. it doesn't look like he's lost any handspeed and he appears to have more snap on his punches. he could find a nice home at mw if none of the top WW want to fight him
