Cannon2
I think that is the only logical thing to do....no one in this organization(players/fans) is going to be in the right mindset to play games.

No_Pressure
Hell just think how Reed Doughty and Pierson Prioleau must feel. They have to try and fill the biggest shoes in the national football league for the next 5 games and who knows what after that.
Smokin01GT
My bet is on this team rallying around this tragedy and doing what they can to honor him. He wouldn't want them to quit and they wont do that on him either. This is when we're gonna see the benefit of having Joe Gibbs around, he'll help these guys deal with this. Ghost of
Marshall's entire team(almost) and many others died in a plane crash and they played the next year with a cobbled together squad. You don't honor someone by giving up but by fighting your heart out. It won't be about winning but about giving everything they've got.

what_would_joe_gibbs_do
he would want us to play through him and give it our all. i say they'll dedicate the rest of our season to him by at least wearing a #21 patch on thier jerseys. pjfootballer
Teams must go on. Other teams have had to play. They'll just have to get through it. I couldn't imagine trying to play if I were a player. It will be hard enough as a fan.

jfs06473
I think we're all going to get a good demonstration of what Joe Gibbs means when he says that "everyone fought their guts out." This time will be critical for the men who make up the team. They will become closer because of this. They will eventually become stronger because of this. And whether or not that translates into more football games won doesn't really matter to me much right now. So I understand where you're coming from, but it may just be best for the team to play the games in honor and memory of their missing man. Somehow it seems a fitting tribute. Rdskn4Lyf21
Playing the games for ST and hitting as hard as you can on every down like he would've done is the best way to keep his memory.
