gridironmike
Just curious. Was that his worst-ever game as a pro? Kudos to the defense!:notworthy
Die Hard
Actually Mike... it was Emmitt's second worst day ever. A couple of years ago the New Orleans Saints held him to something like 13 yards... or something really close to that. I read about it a few days ago and I'm posting the #s off the top of my head
PCS
6 yards I think. Saints held him to his lowest rushing total with 10 carries or more.
Brave
It's only fitting that since he had some of his best days against us he should also have a real bad one thrown in there. He says he still wants to play somewhere. What are the thought of you folks? Is he doing it to try to set the record high enough that he feels it won't be easily broken? NorEastNCFan
Brave, you may be right about Smith wanting to put some distance on his record. But I had also read awhile back that one of his goals was also to rush for 20,000 yards in his career. I think that probably is his driving force for wanting to play. Larry
Or maybe, he just doesn't want to spend the next 5 years playing straight man to a muppet.
Nerm
Emmitt still thinks he is a good RB. He wants to prove that and he wants to win football games. I think he can still get it done, but you guys have seen the OL play in Dallas. Half the time it looks like he has to fight a DE or LB for the handoff. LOL! @DCGoldPants
Look, he's not that old and we saw this year he can still play. Nobody had a problem when Darrell became the Nickel guy for us (except it was for Deion to start) and if Emmitt can be a role player somewhere, then god bless. He's earned it.
