tilley2116
:dallasuck Jason Campbell does so so until an injury takes him out around week 6-8. Brunell, healthy arm and all comes in and guides the Skins to victory over the Pats and keeps the job all the while becoming known as the "Cowboy Killer". And another "old man" quarterback takes his team to the promise land. Now if the defense would show up, this would make a great story! Keeping your best QB on the sidelines while fresh meat gets experience does not get you championships...ask the Jaguars. They're in their 5th year of "getting experience". tilley2116 11. RobinPanties
Or you could look at the bad signs.Last time we played the Lions and Packers in order after a bye we finished 6-10. The last time I remember us playing the Eagles on the road on MNF was the Body Bag game. The last time the Redskins played the Giants in week 3 at home the Redskins lost by 3 while setting a team record (17 penalties for 142 yards). The last time the Redskins had a week 4 bye they finished 7-9. The last time the Redskins played a regular season game in Tampa the refs gave Tampa the game, at least 2 times. The last time the Redskins played the Patriots they won! Then lost 10 of 12. The only AFC team Gibbs has ever coached against in Week 1 was the Dolphins in Washington, and we lost that game 35-17. We play Miami week 1 this year. The last time we played Buffalo we got beat down and it was also the first of 2 times Travis Henry set a career rushing mark against us. Maybe its good that he's in Denver now. The last time the Redskins played Chicago our starting QB got benched for Brunell and never started another game in Washington. The last time we played Minnesota we lost a player on the opening kickoff which many here claim doomed our 2006 season. The last time we played the Cardinals our starting Qb threw 3Ints and fumbled 2 times. Somehow that didn't get him benched either since we did manage to win. The last time the Skins faced all 5 former NFC Central teams in the same season we won 4 of 5 against them!!! The problem was that we won 2 of 11 against the rest of the league and didn't beat a non NFC Central team until week 13. If the same thing happens this year we will start 1-9. I could go on, but is it really necessary? The last time the Skins had a black quarterback with Joe Gibbs as coach? well.. ahem... VICTORY! THEHEREAFTER
we will be playing the Panthers or the Saints for the right to go to the SuperBowl... This is a good thread. I hope the Cowboys can do more than keep the score closer than it should be.

sorrellsskin
trying to figure out if the goof-ball that posted this load is a cowboy fan, or just really lost. you can't be a skins fan! we are known for our loyality and knowledge of the game. you don't seem to have a surplus of either. the main reason for the abberation of a season last year was severe injuries to key players. i don't care who you are, you can't loose 3 D-Linemen, 2 LB's, 1 DB, and your starting Running Back and Quaterback to injury (requiring surgery) and be the same team. Amazing how soon people forget that this same team, when healthy, was 10-5 one year prior. Jason Campbell knows this offense now!!! NFC East Champions / Deep playoffs Hail To The Redskins!!!! deejaydana
while I would love us to finish at 11-5 I have to laugh at your prediction of the Bucs finishing at 12-4----there is NO WAY that will happen. If you haven't noticed, they're just starting a rebuild phase.
Peregrine
I think the key to our season will be those first 6 games. We are playing substandard competition, and the good teams we are playing are at Fedex. If a bad team gets hot in those games, it can carry them for a season. If a good team chokes in those games, it can kill them for the season. Sometimes an early streak can be a huge confidence maker. Miami is in a transition time, the Eagles lost their savior from last year(Garcia) and their lone recieving threat(Stallworth), and the Giants lost their entire team(Barber). Meanwhile the Lions were really super bad last year, the packers were 50/50 and then lost key players without adding anyone, and the Cardinals are consistently in the bottom 5 of the NFL. Its a golden opportunity, and if we really want a shot at the playoffs, we need to come out of that stretch strong(hopefully 5-1).
