How is it all of a sudden patriotic to say gimme gimme gimme, also don't ask me to pay for anything?

I don't like seeing the government wasting money, and I'll be the first one in line to eliminate programs that don't work. But when people seem to be organizing together to say that they don't want to pay into our government, I can't think of anything sillier. Paying the income tax is about owning part of america. If you don't want to pay it, go live somewhere else. I don't care what brought it about, or what events took place. Unless you have a better way to fund this nations government, it's just childish to want something for nothing.

12 monkeys in a cage, a bananna hung in the middle. Every time one monkey went to take the bananna, the others were punished. After time, one monkey was removed from the cage and another was put in his place. The new monkey moved to take the bananna, he was beat by the other monkeys. Another monkey was removed from the cage and another was put in his place. The new monkey moved to take the bananna, he was beat by the other monkeys including most violently by the monkey who was only punished by the old monkeys. Soon all the monkeys who had been punished were gone but still the monkeys beat any new monkey that went for the bananna. You can choose not to pay your taxes but all us other monkies will beat uou.

America:Freedom to Facism

No 9/11, No Bildeberg/Illuminati/Freemasons, No Nonsense. Just a great deal of history and constitutional law. It starts slow but it is engrossing, to say the least.

Enjoy!

Please, just read

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_tax_in_the_United_States#Modern_interpretation_of_the_power_to_tax_incomes

Yes, originally the court said the things they say in the video, but the court changed its mind. The Supreme Court does that. Originially, they up-held segregation, but now segregation is illegeal. Notice, no case the cite is after 1955.

I don't know about this stuff about the actual code, but if that was really an issue, wouldn't congress just change the tax code. The Supreme Court would clearly say that Congress had the right to do so based on their earlier decisions.

And one reason we got away from the gold standard is because it is easy for very wealthy people and other countries to manipulate the price of gold. Take somebody like Bill Gates, he wants to change the value of the dollar, he could just start buying or selling lots of gold. The realization that the gold standard was bad for the avg. person goes back to William Jennings Bryan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross_of_gold_speech).

Ah jeez.

Here we go again. ;)

C'mon man. Don't be a d-bag. This is not a "conspiracy vid". It is a legitimate documentary on the history of the Fed and the IRS, made by a legitimate filmmaker.

Does it have an agenda? Sure, but what information source doesn't? At least this work's bias is plain to see and, IMO, quite reasonable. If it wished to conceal it's intentions, there would be 30 minutes dedicated to monkeys and bananas.

Hmm...Thread posted at 9:03.

Documentary is 109 minutes.

Half-****ed response at 9:34 avowing allegiance to the IRS.

One quote is particularly interesting...

I don't like seeing the government wasting money, and I'll be the first one in line to eliminate programs that don't work.

"First one in line", huh. Bro, you can't even last 25 minutes before you instinctively react with political rhetoric. No way in the world you've got the SAC to ever "eliminate programs", much less be "the first one in line". In fact, it appears that you would likely be "the first one in line" to do just the opposite.

Is this that video about taxes and doesn't even mention our tax codes and doesn't go into the recent Supreme Court decisions on the 16th amendment and what it means?

It actually spends quite a bit of time talking about tax codes. And, if you would watch it, you would realize that any "recent" SC decisions don't matter when the majority of the context of the doc concerns the establishment of the FED and IRS from 1913 onward.

Man up, take a look at it, and lay off the Hannity and Colmes for a while.

Ken will be here shortly to say how great this video is ;)

Admittedly, its one of the more convincing conspiracy theorist pieces that I've seen.

It is quite good!

If i post the link I'm accused of being anti-american though. That's why I'm glad Mboyd784 did!

Did you watch the entire thing? Did you see how whacked out it got in the end?

I might have labled it wrong as a conspiracy vid but it certainly is a propaganda piece.

And really....if it were that easy to skip out on your taxes....wouldn't everyone know? Wouldn't a LOT more people be doing it? And wouldn't this video be WAY more popular?

It brings up some interesting points and it's pretty convincing....but like any convincing piece it's probably not telling the whole story.

The way it transitions right into "advanced" conspiracy 101 is the worst part about the movie. Even though what he says there is totally true, for the uninformed, it really is too much info with little actual proof backing it.

Other than that, it is very well put together.

Have you heard about the 12 monkeys and the banana? It really renders any informed discourse on the topic obsolete.

Fight the fight

Yes, I have heard of it, but I have not actually seen anyone try and pull it off.

It really is an advanced technique of burying your head in the sand with your but pointed in the air!

It slipped into "futurist" thinking at the end and this is where the bias was plainly revealed, to it's credit. After all, one who lays their cards on the table is far less dangerous than the one who smiles and hides their true intentions. Also, there is absolutely nothing "whacked out" about intellectual freedom and informed speculation. Now, recommending duct tape and plastic bags to survive biological warfare...that is kinda "whacked out".

Hmm, I got the exact opposite impression. I have always paid my taxes - albeit at my own pace - and after watching it, I wouldn't dare expose my family to the threat of armed IRS/ATF goons. I would, however, vote for candidates who vow to reduce the power held by the Federal Reserve...and I think that was the main message of the film.

I was referring to the "whacked out" as the 1984-ish mode it took on at the end. But, to each their own. It certainly could be a part of the future. We'll see.

I'm inclined to agree with your above point.

f the revolution not being televised, it has to happen fast and hard so we can get it over with. We need the porn star president, drinking water and irrigation needs to be shifted to gatorade, and our statesmen need to have thier office printed on thier sleve. What are we waiting for?

I did watch it actually....but I'm confused as to what Hannity and Colmes have to do with anything? They make a counter documentary or something?

My post btw was talking about their arguments against income taxes, not the Fed or IRS....

they didnt, but its the allure of that movemnet that they attach themselves to out there claims and call all those not willing failing in some manner, for you I guess he said that cause he pegs you as a republican. Its how they make themselves feel important, dont take it personally.

if you had only said you were baitin' I would have gone away.

I'm not baiting...doesn't mean I don't have a sense of humor. Though I'm not sure what "idiocracy" has to do with the thread. You don't either cause you didn't watch the documentary, I bet.

If you have, prove it...

"Don't be a good _____, Don't be a good ______, be a good _______"

You have ninety minutes, if you can stop watching "ASS!".
