REDSKINZ-RIDEORDIE
I really want us to go after him, Ive been hearing a lot about us going after Smoot, but Nate is light years better then Smoot. I think we should put up whatever this guys asking for. Great CBs are hard to come by. With Carlos Rogers on the opposite side, Im not sure I'd be comfortable with Smoot going up against the opposing teams best receiver every Sunday. elkabong82
It isn't official, but it is being said Clements is going to the 49ers with $23 million in bonus, or guarantee, or whatever. No way Skins could match that AND pick up other areas of need.

laurent
If Washington cuts Springs they should be able to make enough room to sign Clements if they really want him. This makes the Bailey deal look like a bargain in comparison. This is why you take care of your young ProBowl talent before free agency looms. There's always going to be somebody willing to throw silly money around.
