Brandon Lloyd Christmas
TITANS BOW OUT OF CLEMENTS SWEEPSTAKES Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper reports that the Tennessee Titans are out of the running for cornerback Nate Clements. Several teams are interested in Clements, and it could be that the price is too high. The mere fact that the Titans were sniffing around Clements suggests that the Titans could be seriously considering life without Rain Man Jones. i feel better now about our potential chances, supposedly the browns and 49ers are the front runners, but we could easily find some horrendous way to sign the guy. RedskinzOwnU
We have no chance at Clements. Sorry folks. The facts that the Titans are bowing out means that the bidding is even higher than they thought it would be.

TriangleSkinsFan
I predict he winds up in New Orleans with the Saints. If you were NC and you knew you were going to get paid no matter what, wouldn't you go where there was a team with few holes to fill and the biggest was your position. The Saints are on the verge... Bizkiteer
Titans are way under the cap though, but they are frugal spenders too. Dunno if the news is good or bad.

armada58
The Free Agent Market is WAAAAYY overpriced right now. You can tell because not one single deal has been announced as of yet for any team. I bet teams are sitting tight and waiting for price tags to drop a little. Inking a top player right off the bat in this market is financial suicide. Adalius Thomas, Clements, Kerney, etc. (all the top tier FA's) are all looking to cash in quickly when the stock is the highest. It's good to see that teams are waiting for the market to correct itself a little before they pounce. Let's hope Danny Boy is playing the same strategy. waterwagen
Sounds like Clements wants HUGE money. We need to spend that kind of money on D-Linemen, not CBs. Pass.
