RiggoReincarnated
I haven't seen many if any 4 Wide Out Sets this season? Any idea why we don't put in Moss, Lloyd, Randle El, and Patten in simultaneously on occassion to stretch the defense? I don't think many defenses could cover all 4 adequately. RiggoReincarnated
Its called Pass protection our line needs all the help they can get most of the time But if you have 4 wide receivers with the quality we have...it doesn't take long for them to get separation. RiggoReincarnated
Actually I think you could see three of these guys and CP line up in the slot as #4. The Rams would have 4 Wide Outs and then Marshall Faulk coming out of the backfield. I know Saunders has these plays since he was with the Rams. The only difference between the starting 5 in 2003 and and 2006 is at center! And how good has Rabach really been?:whoknows:

The only constants in terms of level of play are Samuels and Jansen.
meek
So I guess the theory is that it shouldn't take our wideouts that long to get separation, but you also have to remember that Samuels serves as little more than a speedbump to any quality DE. The only constants in terms of level of play are Samuels and Jansen. Randy Thomas played for Spurrior in 2003 and was playing at an All-Pro level with the Jets. That's why Danny and company paid big bucks to bring him in and solidify the oline. Yes Dockery has more experience now, but other than center, the line we have today is virtually the same as the 2003 Spurrior debacle. A TE, FB or RB really needs to stay in to protect! Joe Gibbs II
Those plays are in pages 500-600 of "The Playbook: A 21st Century's Screw Up of a 20th century's Success Written By Alan Saunders"

DWinzit
What about the Joe Bugel factor? Don't you think he's coached them up since then? No! IMO his second stint with the Redskins has been unimpressive. :whoknows:
Jethrodsp
Brunell seems to be worried about the rush every time he goes back to pass. I dont see him being able to run 4 WR sets very well. Hes never really done it during his career in Was or Jax.
MONTEY
This idea reminds me of Spewior and the ruining of poor Patrick!  Yeah. Gives me hives just thinking about that. And Ramsey was a more mobile QB then Brunell. Naw, I'm not to particular about this.
dfos81
That would mean Brunell's most valuable safety valve would be out of the game in COOOLEEEYYY!!! I like the Shotgun w/ Cooley playing the TE and 3 wideouts and 1 Hb. I think that is our best passing attack, imo. :point2sky
