Redfaced21
On the Monday press conference Bill Parcells stated that he still views the Redskins as a viable threat. "I know everybody is kind of putting them in the coffin but I've know Joe Gibbs too long to make that assumption".

jsevier
Thats coach speak for "not wanting to piss off an opponent." Gibbs does this regularly and Parcells is not different. Then again, I agree with him but our team needs to believe.
project myu
Fact is, Redskins are still only two games behind. No one in the NFC East has taken a running start yet, it's there for the taking.

With that said, it will take a catastrophic amount of dedication and focus to even consider being a playoff threat, let alone winning the division. plan9misfit
Well, Gibbs did say that he wants Bill to retire. That's because he wants to eliminate the competition. Gibbs doesn't want another coach in the NFC East to look as incompetent as he is.
pcspi
I think it's really sad when Redskins fans take what Bill Parcells says as inspiration.

Loki
I could care less what Parcells thinks. We need to deal with the opinions of the people in-house!
FunBunch7
I wouldn't say they are "friends"...but when you coach against each other over 3 different decades and you both have Rings, there is a mutual respect and comraderie. Both have won Super Bowl Both have lost Super Bowls Both "will" be in the Hall Of Fame They've coached in some 20 odd games against each other
