graffjd
According to ESPN radio sportscenter the Jets have announced Pennington is the opening day starter. I guess it was a foregone conclusion. I just wished Ramsey would have gotten the opportunity.
tr1
I just wished Ramsey would have gotten the opportunity. I think I've heard this before. One must perform adequately to get an opportunity.
Shotgunner
Pennington will never hold up for a full season. PR may be the commander come week 10.
Brave
Shocking! Really, who didn't know it was Pennington's job to lose. I wouldn't disagree, either. I think Ramsey will get his chance eventually. Good luck to him.

Jumbo
I think I've heard this before. One must perform adequately to get an opportunity. The Jets had it in for him from the beginning. Just because he wasn't "their guy" to begin with. They're going to go with an old beat-up has-been instead of giving the guy a fair chance to start. Same old NFL. redskin48
it would have been nice to see Ramsey do something good over there.
skinsngibbs4life
I really hope that ramsey gets his shot. I really liked him here and DC, and hope that he can get a chance as the starter somewhere, and prove himself as the first rounder that he was drafted as
More Complete
No surpise. I love Ramsey but didn't expect his to win the job.
DWinzit
Did Ramsey get cut or does he still have a shot with the Jets. If he makes their team, he's their Todd Collins!
Jumbo
I still think Pat can find a #2 position somewhere, but it is getting close.

whatmeworry
Pennington won't last long. And most of the fans hate him. PR will be in by week 5 or 6. He always played better in the reg season than pre so he might be able to finally get a shot. But geez, if he can't win out as starting QB for the Jets maybe he wasn't as good as some of us (myself included) thought.
Underwater Ally
The Jets had it in for him from the beginning. Just because he wasn't "their guy" to begin with. They're going to go with an old beat-up has-been instead of giving the guy a fair chance to start. Same old NFL. Well behind that line, he'll just get more beat up. I'm actually somewhat relieved that Ramsey isn't starting. I think as long as he makes the team, he'll get some game time eventually, because Pennington is going to take a beating and they don't want to throw Clemens to the wolves. I really wish Ramsey was playing for a team with a better line though. I'd hate to see him have to relive the "Chuck 'n duck" days.

cannonshogs44
I watched Pennington the other night, talk about a weak arm. I know he never had a big arm to start with, but it really looks bad for him now. Ramsey still might get a shot
ntotoro
It's not Ramsey's arm that gets called into question. It's the part north of the neck. The guy's not a victim. While Pennington hasn't exactly been great, Patrick hasn't done anything to separate himself. You have to deliver a knockout punch to take out the incumbent QB and Patrick hasn't shown that he has progressed since leaving here.
