Mr.Z
Is Todd Collins still winning the compitition for the backup job? The depth chart still has him at number two, which is really scary. I am glad he is there to make our offensive transition easier, but we have a rising star in Campbell, and if MB goes down, thats who I want in. Someone give Collins a headset and tell him to adjust it to his size.
bulldog
Collins is the #2 on the official depth chart because Gibbs doesn't want to put Campbell under the lights and pressure the kid while he is still learning the offense. I guarantee you if Brunell is injured in Week 8 or 9 of the season by which time Campbell is better prepared to play, you will see #17 on the field. DaveP666
Agreed, Todd Collins scares me. Just look at his past numbers... terrible. I'm sure oposing teams would love to go up against us with him at QB.
BroSweets
I think we should go get Kerry Collins and make him the #

asnpcwiz
I think it's obvious by how much play time Campbell got against the Jets that Collins is not the number 2 QB.

They are supposed to be alternating I believe. With that said though, I hope that Campbell is the "official" back-up come regular season
PORTIS573
Collins is a nervous wreck when he plays, Campell should be the #
terpfan
If Brunell is out for any significant amount of time I think Campbell will step in. But if we just need someone to come in and finish a game, that may be Collins. We shall see.

darrell1106
Next week's game will be awesome. The Pats have a really sound Defensive system, regardless of the injuries to Seimore, Harrison or Bruschi. I think if MB and JC looks half way descent against that team it'll be a better extremeskins board next week;)
allskinz
Isn't Collins slated as #2 behind Brunell against the Patriots and Campbell as #3? If the Patriots still have their #1 Defense in against Collins, this is going to be a very ugly showing..
wbar3383
I love the fact that people are warming up to Campbell. There was alot of concern (unjustified) about his readiness. Well, either its positive for Campbell or negative for Collins.

As long as Collins reads the defense, makes sound decisions and limit the turnovers he should walk off the field w/ some dignity. It'll be good to see JC do the same thing even against the 3rd stringers.

And I use the term vet loosly. He has seen as much field time as our friend Heath Schuler (remember him? Hullava pick)

FunBunch7
I think we should go get Kerry Collins and make him the # 2 That's really not a bad idea. Kerry has been known to quit on teams before and he is a bit of a whiner, but he IS the calibur player that could run the ship come playoff time if need be. Mr.Z
Shuler...unfortunately I do remember him and he was alos a 1st round pick by Gibbs, correct? Nope, that was norv turner, and there were plenty of great players to come out of that draft. Trent Dilfer was picked that year, but that wasn't who i meant. Imagine Issac Bruce a redskin. We passed on him Willie McGinist, Todd Steussie, and Arron Glenn. In all fairness to good ol' norv, he sucks as a head coach.

I think Campbell has to be our #2 but what the coach thinks is the important opinion. He has been right so far, so Ill go with whatever the coach decides. tonyriggins
If it was up to me I would start Collins until Campbell was ready, Brunell need to be gone. He cost way too much money, in time Jason will outperform him, and Todd can right now. Plus Gibbs protects Brunell to fault.
Rogers22
Campbell has looked better to me than Collins has. Campbell is the future. I doubt Collins will play at all this year.
Tastes Like Chicken
Collins looked very sharp- his passes hit the receivers right between the numbers! edit: oops, after further review, those players were on the opposing team
