DWinzit
Okay, you knew it was coming.... how about Ashley Lelie? Tall, speedy in the last year of his rookie contract. Denver is hoping for draft picks and/or RB or WR. Could a Rock or Ladell be packaged? How about Patten or Jacobs?
MossFan89
no way in hell, like mr mcmahon says from the wwe. why do we want a cry baby on this team? that wants 2 be a #1 reciever? thats the only reason he wants out of denver, and plus he has stone hands. the answer is NO... I would rather see another CB or OT backup. That doesn't mean they wouldn't think about this one.
SkinsD
No thanks. Besides Gibbs would never let a cry baby on the team.

However, we've got no need for him. If I were Jacksonville or San Fran and had both the means and need to pick him up, I'd try to get him.
Fifty Gut
we just spent 10s of millions on a #2 and a #3 WR, not to mention what we paid for Patten last offseason... are things really that boring in Albany?

Mossman, check my post again. I'm just saying Lelie's value is better than say Rock and Patten. I don't want him here, I picked two other teams that could use him. jsevier
If we had 12 balls per play I think we still wouldn't have enough for him. He has shown the tendancy to "cry" and we just don't need any of that. Maybe in Spurriers era but not with Gibbs. HTTR.

It's more about his $600,000.00 contract. Our recent trade history with Denver, the potential emergence of Lumsden, Jacobs disappointments, Patten, Betts and Rocks contracts, just a thought... Denver is hoping for draft picks and/or RB or WR. Could a Rock or Ladell be packaged? How about Patten or Jacobs? No No No No No I don't care if Denver offers Lelie to us for a rotten egg - No. In case I'm not being clear: No. Thankfully, Gibbs would never want a guy like Lelie. He has yet to take up the mantle of #1 receiver like the Broncos were hoping he would do, and all he has done since the Javon Walker trade is whine about the competition. I never want a guy like that on the Redskins, I don't care how good he is. Of course, if Lelie was any good, he would have earned a starting spot and wouldn't have to worry about Javon Walker or anyone else. You're not entitled to your spot on the field, you have to earn it and deserve it. Lelie just doesn't get it. For the anti-Lelie, just look at David Patten, who has not whined one bit about the Lloyd and Randle El acquisitions, has welcomed the competition and the improved team, and has focused on earning his way onto the field. Brave
That guy is an underachiever. Hasn't even come CLOSE to beating out old man Smith for the #1 spot in Denver even though he has all the physical tools to be very good and the speed to be great. But he isn't. He's a decent #2 ... which we don't need.
AlohaGeorge
Ashley was fantastic at the University of Hawaii. As I recall, he was a walk-on from one of the local high schools without an initial scholarship. The knock on him was running poor routes; however, with his great speed, he often had separation in the first ten yards and ended up with great YAC. He had some initial problems, though, holding on to the ball with Denver. Ashley remains very well liked and respected in Hawaii, devoting both time and money to various local causes.
