macnoke03
Just curious to see how many other members are also poker players, particularly Texas Holdem. I play in a weekly home game and also online at Poker Stars.

NattyLight
I play. I'm on Party Poker because getting money to gambling sites in MD is pretty tough. I'd rather play in person. SoMD has a good deal of 25 / 50 multi table tournaments, home games, and leagues.

Skinned
I like taking peoples money, but I am not too sure about taking other ES'ers hard earned $$..... Perhaps if we all play the same MTT then that would be fun to compare notes at the end.

boofMcboof
Started dealing American poker in cards clubs in California when I turned 21. Saved up some money for three years then quit. Been playing since 19. From the mid '90s to early 2000s poker was almost dead. Thanks to the Travel Channel poker has had a huge resurgence. The fresh meat absolutely is incredible. Titaw
I've been playing home games and on pokerstars for a little over a year now. I haven't reached the level that I want to yet, in part because I want to play with fresh faces. Playing with the same people for a while becomes incredibly easy to guess their hand and tough for them not to know yours. I go by yokoyomama on pokerstarts. CalSkinsFan
I play on pokerstars, tho not much recently, handle is kenear. Typically play the $5 single table elimination tourneys. Have also played in 4 or 5 live tourneys at a local Indian casino. Came within a few spots of the money 3 of those times, but not close enough . Live is much more fun, imo. The best paying tourney at this casino is on Sundays, so no "live" poker during football season :logo: .
RonBurgundy&Gold
I used to play a lot more than I do now. This new job has been taking up a lot of my time and its been taking away from my table time. To those thinking of turning pro, just remember there are no benefits or retirement in poker. It takes a special person to truly make it in this game. Bankroll management. Bankroll management. Bankroll management. I said it 3 times because its that important. Believe me I had the dreams of going pro too as I've bought some nice things with my winnings but its totally different when the way the cards fall dictates whether or not you have a roof over your head and food on your plate. As soon as I get squared away here at this new job, I plan to start playing a lot more part-time to afford my guilty pleasures like sneakers, 360 games, bar tabs, and all that but I still want to have that guarunteed income from a real job at the same time.
