RiggoReincarnated
Any chance you all think we resign these guys? I think they certainly help the depth of our defense, at the very least.
jwebst1
I think both played extremely well last year..... I would be dissappointed if we didn't resign them. But with all of this huge, huge contracts, it's going to be hard to keep depth players, especially like Evans.
thinker
I'm pretty sure that Stoutmire has already signed elsewhere.
Dana87
Right now the Skins are letting Evans field offers to establish his current Value. Evidently there was a difference of oppinion when they were negotiating a new contract. I believe we will resign Evans in the end.
fwo40
I'm pretty sure that Stoutmire has already signed elsewhere. He did...he is now a New Orleans Saint.
skinsblitz
I'm pretty sure that Stoutmire has already signed elsewhere. Yeah, I think I read on the kffl site that he signed with New Orleans. I'm pretty sure about that.
RiggoReincarnated
Damn...I hope we get some secondary depth...if we are about 4 million under the cap...and 2 million in the rookie draft pool...that means we have about 2 million to spend on a free agent...we should be able to get someone decent. Are Ty Law and Charles Woodson still available?
skinsblitz
DANG Starter! You be QUICK!! I'm just a lowly Special Teams Ace... so therefore I bow to you.
BigRay
Stoutmire signed with the Saints If I'm not mistaking. I hope they re-sign Evans though he has played solid when he got his chance.
Grimm
"The Saints also agreed to terms with LB Anthony Simmons and S Omar Stoutmire." http://www.neworleanssaints.com/newsroomarticle.cfm?articleid=2329§ionbanner=img%5Fheader%5Fnews%2Ejpg
pvkeeper19
Evans was solid but I remember hearing somewhere (forgive my lack of a source) that he wants money and a chance to start. Both seem a little unlikely given our current line situation. He'd be valuable to re-sign, but I don't see him in more than the spot duty he saw last season. I think Evans is best on third downs...he isn't as good a run stopper as Wynn IMO.

Your being sarcastic right? Both of those players signing bonus hit will be more than 2 mill a year.

Tarpon75
I don't think there is a need to worry too much about secondary depth as Williams likes to have plenty of db's.Last year the Skins brought several in for workouts and made moves to sign players such as Stoutmire and Preilou.I would think he would make similar moves again this year. VaK9Trainer
While I'd love to see Evans back, I dont think the Skins are as worried about losing him since the signing of Carter. They can now move Wynn around a bit and their depth isnt bad on the DL.
Nighthawk
What everyone has to remember is that the players that most people are wringing their hands about losing, weren't signed until later in the summer and they are the ones that provided us with depth. Safety Ryan Clark wasn't signed until the 1st day of training camp back in 2004 and Stoutmire wasn't signed until July 30th of 2005. Both missed all of the offseason practices and workouts, yet both contributed during the seasons they were signed. So just sit right back and relax and wait for things to fall into place. Since Gibbs and company have arrived, they always do.
CPstretch
im mad we let stoutmire go since he probably cost very very little. he has played in the nfc east for a long time and i thought he did an unbelievable job stepping in when sean taylor got thrown out of the tampa game.
