smitty71
I realize that Campbell is really this year's "First rounder," but two years in a row w/out an actual first RD pick is a tight call but if we get a third in the deal this year I think I would do it. Die Hard
Ummm....You guys realize that it would take two frist rounders to get him right? The jets already offered you guys a 7th rounder for him, that's it. I don't think you have aenough draft picks to get him, unless you safrifice all od this year and part of next years draft. You only have 1 first day pick. Spoken like true a Cowboy fan. Ante up.... $200 says the Jets won't get 2 first rounders for John Abraham.

Tazhog
All we need is a pass rusher Because he can sack the QB Rather than blitzing Allowing DB's and LB's to cover Happy days are here to come Another enemy QB hits the ground More victories will come our way
stwasm
DRAFT!!!!!!!! We give up waaaaaaaay too many pics. The free agent splash is nice, but we need to groom depth and talent through the draft. Can't just rely on free agency alone, folks!
Peregrine
I think we should use the 2nd rounder on a CB, considering we have an EXCELLENT track record drafting CBs, and we need more dpeth there.

I've been thinking a lot about this - If we can get a proven YOUNG vet like Abraham, what is the downside compared to getting a rookie that will take a couple years to groom. Abraham is already proven.
GRIM REAPER 21
well it looks like we are trying to win now so i don't think abe's age is gonna matter compared to carters:dallasuck
Enter Apotheosis
Abraham is more expensive than Carter and will still cost us good draft picks. It just plain makes more sense to do everything we can to sign Andre and use our second pick.

He is not that old and has the experience as opposed to a rookie coming out of the draft - sorry if I wasn't clear. Haven't had any sleep... Tazhog
Why draft if it's available in free agency... I just don't understand...
shawn
I think it would take more than a low 2nd round pick and ramsey to get Abraham. ramsey is rumored to go for a 2nd day pick and lets assume a 4th, is Abraham worth a low 2nd and low 4th round pick? I think he is worth a low 1st. You may have to throw in some picks from next year to make it happen.
SkinSince87
if they gonna take a pick give em next yrs pick and draft Cromartie with this yrs pick
swissarmy47
I want some more "value" guys - good players that won't cost top dollar and hopefully aren't injury concerns. As such, I say draft a young CB that can hopefully step into the # 3 spot and maybe replace Springs in a couple years or so.
Frediemac
Abraham would be a Beast. So I say Trade the Pick :wavetowel
FootballGuy2677
We need to keep the 2nd round draft pick. You can still get good talent there. And we need Good, Young, Talented Players in positions like Cornerback.
RWJ
I say sign Carter and use him stictly as a pass rushing DE. Trade down in the 2nd round, if someone is willing to swap 2nd round picks and recoup our 3rd we lost trading with the 9ers.
