philal0102
Lets see, the most popular team in the NFL. More fans than any other team out there which in turn buys more merchandise, more TV dollars cause more people want to see them either because they love them or hate them, than any other team. If you want to throw a NY team in there as well fine. But if you say the redskins your nuts. Outside of the Maryland/Virginia area, nobody cares about that team. And if nobody cares, there's not as much money. i care and im in vegas... granite i was born and raised in dc... but that doesnt matter.
BigDFan5
It's an interesting discussion' date=' but it's becoming a my dad is bigger than your dad deal.Out of curiosity, isn't the new Cowboys stadium publicly financed?[/quote'] 50/50 I believe
5 Super Bowls
First off, football will never be like baseball. The largest generation of income from football is tv. That is shared because it is sold as a league. Baseball teams sell rights to various cable companies and the price tag varies significantly from one team to the other. That and attendance varies significantly from market to market. Not just because they are winning either. The marlins can't sell out a world series game. All of the NFL is sold out for the most part each week. Sorry Cardinal fans. Second, this thing isn't over, I still think they get a deal done in time. Isifhan
Tell you what. You take our stadium capacity and we'll take yours, and see if you guys even break into the top 10 in revenue. See you make a good post then you have to go and ruin it by posting nonsene like this. If you can't see that Dan Snyder would be in the top ten in revenue no matter where he would have a staduim you really don't get how good of a business man he is. BigDFan5
Sorry there Cowclown, but the NEW Cowboys stadium is gonna hold 75,000, NOT 100,000http://www.california.com/~csuppes/NFL/DallasCowboys/newindex.htm It will hold 75-80k but can be expanded to 100k
BigDFan5
That thing is ugly as sin too. The top of it is at a tilt and they're using those unfinished metal crossbars over the top like they have at their current stadium...looks like its still not finished being built. Let me take a shot in the dark here and guess that its going to be turf and have another hole in the roof...terrible. Nothing worse than watching a game in that stadium on TV and the shadows offset by the light seeping through that hole are so damn distracting. Only thing that's worse is when it rains, only from one 35 to the other get wet...thats just weird man. Either build a dome or don't, enough of this hole in the roof nonsense.P.S. WeOwnU, please continue posting on extremeskins.com, you provide vauluable insight into the "mind" of actual cowboy fans. Your uneducated opinions and lack of factual support for any of your wild declarations give many young Redskins fans a unique perspective on why "cowboy fans suck". Enjoy your clown suit, you earned it. That drawing was just an interpretation of what the stadium may look like not the final plan, the roof will be retractable no hole
elkabong82
Gibbs is a fine coach, but he's always had talent. The supebowl teams you guys had was chocked full of talent. Its always been a mystery to me why you didn't have more HOFers from those teams, especially the offensive lines you guys had, but thats a different story. The point is, if you have talent on the team, the coach should win.Look at Jimmy Johnson with the cowboys, he was surrounded by talent. Was it his coaching? Probably not. It was the talent. When he went to Miami he stunk. Gibbs is no different than any other coach. You got talent, you win, you don't , you lose. Gibbs is no different? No other coach has earned three rings w/ 3 different qb's. Not a lot of coaches could win with no receivers above 5'11" (aka the Smurfs).People said we lost talent from our 6-10 04 season, and we went deep into the playoffs. Cowboys suck, the sooner you accept it, the less therapy you'll need. The rivalry is back, hears to another sweep next season, and a turkey bowl W for the skins as well. TC4
It will hold 75-80k but can be expanded to 100k That's all well and good but, if for any reason the Cowboys have some down years and say one year end up 5-11 and don't sell out all the games, then you have to deal with these horrible words: TV blackout And it's a LOT harder to sell out a 100,000 seat staduim when you have a bad team than a 75,000 seat one
BrunellSuperbowl
the difference between baseball and NFL is not the cap. It is in baseball only the division winners and one wild card make the playoffs after a billion games. So it is hard me to watch the Orioles for a billion games when you know the Yankees and Redsox are better. There are not enough playoff spots. It was hard to watch the Nats. Everybody knew they would not make the playoffs because in baseball you need to be great just to make wild card or division. In football you at least have two wild cards and do not need a great record to make the wild card.

Yikes...the season would last until December.
The Animal Trainer
Ugly. With ugly metal crossbars, tilted roof, and a retractable hole in the roof. At least its grass, thats all I can say.
