Bhutanibeast
Out of every RB in the NFL, who do you think best suits the running style that Joe Gibbs wants?
meetST
um...let's see...uh...o yes....CP...
PCS
C.P.easy. I mean, if he didn't fit Joe's style of O, ( which is always being tweeked and changed), then why did Joe bring him here in the first place?
Bhutanibeast
I know CP has been marvelous for us but i am sure there is another running back that all of us would want that would flourish in this system. A big-bodied bruiser type running back.
meetST
y are you looking for another rb?
Bhutanibeast
No hell no im not. Im just saying, it was clear that CP got worn down at the end of the year. But there is no running back i would rather have then CP. He is the toughest of em all and clearly the best dresser on thursday's.

Guest GibbSkins11
CP he can break an 80 or pound out 120, but if i cant say CP i would say larry johnson
GhostofAlvinWalton
Out of every RB in the NFL, who do you think best suits the running style that Joe Gibbs wants? If he had his choice JG would like to have CP & T.J. Duckett. Kind of like Byner & Riggs. 20-25 carries for CP 10+/- for TJ. :2cents: .
Bugs'
I love our backfield of Portis, Betts, and Rock. Having a Bettis for goal line or 3 and short would be nice, but I'm very pleased with what we have and I think Coach Gibbs is too.
Bhutanibeast
CP he can break an 80 or pound out 120, but if i cant say CP i would say larry johnson Yea he would be my pick as well.
Bugs'
Yea he would be my pick as well. I think he would be most coaches pick after the season he had last year....
andyburd
Larry Johnson
Redskin4ever
Lets see. Portis just had the most yards ever as a Redskin. More yards than any other Gibbs back. Yes, a goal line runner would help out, but I think Portis fits our style quite well.
Phat Hog
Larry Johnson or Stephen Alexander
NWSkins
Larry Johnson or Stephen Alexander Shaun Alexander is his name, i believe. Unless you are reffering to our old TE who, i dont think, would be a good fit. Thats just my opinion considering he's probably never played runningback before. ahudson
Over the last few years, I always thought Jamal Lewis's running style would be perfect for Joe Gibb's system. Kind of like a G Riggs with lots of speed. That said he doesn't have the right character, but just on his on field performance I think he is a great fit. (Last year was not great, because he was playing scared, but just based on style, I like him.)
kevinklein
I say Portis, because Gibbs went out and specifically got Portis. With Portis gathering 1,600 yards this year, I can't argue against him.
stram22
Portis not included I would say Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, or Ronnie Brown.

painfulyetloyal
Id love to see Steven Davis back as a short down back. I know he's been bit by the injury bug but I wouldnt use him that much anyway, just in short yardage situations.
#98QBKiller
Out of every RB in the NFL, who do you think best suits the running style that Joe Gibbs wants? Clinton. But I think that we could use a big goal line situation guy like The Bus or (even though I hate him) Alstott to back up Portis.
FootballGuy2677
Out of every RB in the NFL, who do you think best suits the running style that Joe Gibbs wants? Uh, Clinton Portis? The mans a beast and good in every aspect of the game. Plus hes from THE U!!! Id love to see Steven Davis back as a short down back. I know he's been bit by the injury bug but I wouldnt use him that much anyway, just in short yardage situations. Yea, he may be a little Injury Prone now and may be to old to be a every down back while Clinton might be out(doubt it though, the mans tough). He is still an effective short yardage back and his 12 touchdowns this season proved it. Except wed only use Stephen Davis on 3rd down short yardage plays, not Touchdowns, Touchdowns are for Clinton:D
