that is great, thanks for the link. Someone I know just came back from Pakistan and was relating how hard they were hit, glad our military is being viewed rightly as part of the solution!

I don't think those really equate to what Air Force was saying. None of those posts states that the terrorists are the good guys or that our troops are as bad as Al Queda...though a couple of them say that it may appear that way at first or second glance to the people in the Middle East because of those particular situations.

Buddy, you are slipping.

Why would you defend someone who made a false statement like this?

Actually the quote was:

according to some on this site our military is no different than Al-Queda

And there have been many a quote that said "We are no different than them".

See Abu Graib... White Phosphorous... Gitmo... Secret Prisons...

I defend just about everyone on this site and call them as I see them.

I'm not a republican and I'm not a democrat....

:) just because I found a couple of quotes that match what he was saying doesnt mean I agree with him, I just saw the "Call out" and remembered where I had read them...

Thats it...

I still haven't seen any qoutes where regulars have said that the US military is no different than Al Queda (or that terrorists are the good guys (though I guess he may have been talking about in general and not about anyone on here for that)...that hasn't changed.

I never said anything about you though.

The point is the contridiction in our actions. We supposedly went to Iraq to liberate people who were tortured, and murdered in mass with chemical weapons. . .just so we could torture people and murder them with chemical weapons

Are you sure a regular NEVER said anything like were as bad as them?

really sure?

Bear, you used a post by me which says NOTHING like the terrorists are the good guys, or that the military is no better then Al Qaeda.

Here is my entire post which you thought proved the point. . . funny how you left out the second half of the post where I explicitly stated that is not what I believe, but it is the perception of others huh

I am not by any means saying this is what we are doing, but the PERCEPTION in the real world is this. Actions speak louder then words, and so far, with the black sights, this and other atrocities, our actions leave little to be desired. . . not the best war to win a nation over to "your way of thinking".

Show me where I say that we are no different to AL Qaeda, I don't!!!

What I said in that post, as well as a number of other posts is that our actions in the war have left a lot to be desired. Re-read my post and tell me where I am wrong. Then, read the entire thread, and see why the context of the post is important, especially considering it was about Iraq and had nothing to do with Al Qaeda.

You claim you are not a democrat or a republican, and you are usually about 90%-10% pro republican, but at least you can see the otherside. Where I have a hard time trying to believe some of your posts is when you jump to the defense of the right's version of Crazyhorse and think that you are just "doing a service" for ES. You are doing no service by sticking up for Crazyhorse v2.0, and in fact you are exposing your true feelings.
