dave44
I have heard that the Giants pass defense is awful but I havent heard about their run defense. :point2sky :gaintsuck
NYFootballGIANTS
Generally our run defense it probably about average. Portis will not have too much success trying to pound it up the gut, I think that's one area where we have generally been strong. He will do better if he tries to get it to the outside. The Redskins have had problems pounding it up the gut this year with any consistency. In fact, that's what typically bottles up Portis and ruins his average Seems like Portis is getting the majority of his yards off-tackle and outside the tackle on the zone blocks and counter treys. Should be a great game today.
LD0506
Especially running to the left, teams have had more success so far with that against NY

blackice7x
I have heard the run defense is terrible and holes all through it. I hope the person who I heard it from is right on.
PCS
Oh yeah. The Giants run D is suspect, but I myself am taking nothing for granted. NFC East game to max here I think.
jabronijames
I don't know if Portis is going to get his 100 yards today, but he'll be close. Giants D is going to step it up for this game, just like ours is going to. It'll be a great game and a fun one to watch. Winning this game will make it all the better! :gaintsuck :gaintsuck :gaintsuck :gaintsuck
Tom [Giants fan]
The Broncos and Chargers ran it all over the Giants' D. The Cardinals, Saints, Rams, and Cowboys did not have nearly as much success. The Giants' run D can be really good or pretty bad. The thing that has been happening is, if the team runs on the Giants (San Diego and Denver) they throw for under 200 yards if yiou take away Tomlinson's TD throw in the Charger game (just looking at the QB's). But, if the team throws for a lot of yards, then they don't gain a lot of yards on the ground. It seems the Giants stop or slow down one but not both in a game.
