NYSkins23
Washington Redskins: (@ Cowboys). The Redskins have allowed 18 points or less in seven straight games. They’ve also prohibited opposing tailbacks from rushing for 100 yards or more in 6 straight games. :logo:
DeaconBlue
Pleasing but not surprising. Some think our defense over rated. I think not.

project myu
Also, where did this statistic come from? Didn't we get blown out by them when Tim Hasselbeck posted his magical 0.0 QB rating?
Burger35
that is impressive. To finish the game with a 0.0% rating. That is incredible.
NYSkins23
Also, where did this statistic come from? Didn't we get blown out by them when Tim Hasselbeck posted his magical 0.0 QB rating? Phily was the last team to put up more than 18 on our defense. That was back on week 11 of last year. They put up 28. Actually, that would be 2 times in 14 weeks. That's a solid streak!

scruffylookin
If I may piggy back on this thread. Did you know that last Sunday was the first time the Redskins won a game in which they scored less than 10 points since 10/2/78,when they defeated the Dallas Cowboys ( :point2sky :dallasuck :point2sky ) 9-5 on Monday Night Football? Darth Tater
And THAT's with Ramsey and his turnover machine on the field. Impressive. Get it right, the closest thing we have to a turnover machine is Brunell. Please engage in facts, is this too dificult? God, I'd like to get passes this but for some reason people like you can't. ---------------------------- Our success stoping the run is made even more impressive given the propensity to go 3-out last year and have no short-game. Over the last 17 games, most of the time the defense has allowed a back to go over 100, it was because the offense failed to score enough. Remember the +100 yard effort by Bettis? Our offense scores that TD and our ST comes thru, it would have been 14-7 going into the late 4th quarter. Pittsburgh would have had to abandon the run then and Bettis would have only gotten around 60-70 yards. Brunell doesn't give Baltimore a TD and the ST stops the return, B-moore has to abandon the run in the last quarter since their behind 10-0. Of all the guys who've put up 100+ yds against us over the last 17 games, only once was it done by besting our defense.
fuji869
And just think if we had the offense to go with that defense we would have been in the playoffs in 04 with the weak NFC. Hopefully the O can get it into gear this season. :fingersx:
