Pretty interesting tweet outlining some guys that Ben Johnson has worked with in the past who could be candidates to fill out his staff here. Anyone like Mark Brunell @ QB coach and Antwaan Randle El @ WR coach? Just kidding...but, those names obviously stuck out. I remember thinking our WR group was going to be absolutely sick in '06 when we signed both Randle El and Brandon Lloyd 😆

Right? Like, I get him being uber confident in his athletic skills. But, those clips flash both bad decision making and an unsustainable style of play. Can he not slide? Does he not understand protecting the most important player on the field?

I think we can mostly agree that the next HC is in all likelihood Ben Johnson. Arguing the semantics of if the deal is "done" in principle through his agent. Or, "done" per his name on the dotted line is just painful. We ALL know nothing has been signed. I'm of the opinion that the deal is in fact "done"...as in the term, compensation, and any other particulars have been negotiated and settled upon by his agent and the team...and the signature is just a foregone conclusion.

Total conjecture from the twitter-verse...but, if MIA were to shop Tua his +4500yds, 29TD, and almost 70% completion rate this past year would make him worth considering. Going back to the turn of the century, they've produced exactly 1 staring-quality NFL QB...the rest of the list is a graveyard of busts and JAGs. The one starting QB they produced was admittedly good, but also a diva who forced his way off the team that drafted him, played his way off the next, and only won a single playoff game over his entire 15-year career. I liked seeing that the new analytics guru Harris hired was with two teams who have rebuilt fairly quickly and had returns to relevance in the Dolphins and Jags. Feels like with him in-house the team can get a jump on a (hopefully) quick turnaround and planning their off-season machinations...without having to wait for the current staff to be canned and a new GM hiring process to play out.

I really like everyone on your list except Higgins. This is a guy who would make me nervous to sign to a top-tier WR contract. A little too much "risk" in the risk/reward calculation. Dude has missed time 3 years running with recurring hamstring and ankle injuries...now, when he plays and he's healthy, he's pretty much a sure thing for 1,000+ yds. But, a super-size WR, with ongoing leg issues, that didn't have great top-end speed to begin with is too risky a bet for me...especially since he'll probably be looking for a massive payday.

God willing...everytime someone in here suggests a HC could be hired first I feel like I'm taking crazy pills 😆

Not too happy that Ron is apparently taking over the D. I would have rather seen them elevate someone else from the staff. Ron having to call plays on Sundays...as opposed to just standing there with his arms crossed looking confused...should be interesting.
