Wins and losses without context is a stat you use when you really want to convince people a bad QB on a good team is better than he really is. He’s not good enough and Wentz isn’t good enough.

There’s a bit of a gap between better than weeks 2 through 6 (I’m not even sure about that) and good enough.

When that’s all you can muster against an absolutely miserable pass defense, you have a meteor sized gaping hole at QB and there isn’t a single TH pompom waiver walking this planet that will convince me differently. The fact that we’re 7-5 shows what this team can be with a legit QB1. Stay with who we have in the room now and best case scenario you beat the really bad teams, lose to the really good teams and everything else is a tossup. This roster is a QB away and it’s time to go get one. I’m not someone to root for losses if the team has no chance in playoffs, but there is no QB on the roster we have a chance in the playoffs with. This Atlanta defense made the Carolina passing attack look like the 99 Rams.

The unit is finally developed and coming together because the back 7 finally has the pieces to hold its own. We've seen what a great defensive line and crap everywhere else looks like. It's going to be tough to have 80-90 million invested in 4 guys when Kurl, BSJ, Forrest, Dotson, Cosmi, Davis come up, and that's without factoring in free agents. The 49ers traded Buckner away and they're doing just fine.

Easier said than done giving 4 defensive linemen 20 million a year as a baseline. Unless Chase Young completely fizzes out that's what we're looking at.

I don't think you can afford to just throw a few bucks at the offense now a days. I hope they can find a way to extend at least 3/4 first round picks, but there's a possibility it might just be two. (Allen + whoever) If we can only resign indeed only resign one more, I'd put Payne at the top of the list.

We have to find a way to keep Allen and Payne together.

This games encapsulated Heinicke imo. Our QB1 is not on the roster but I hope Heinicke sticks around for a long time.
