Howson to Yorkshire Figo Think Leeds can take the credit for that one

Yeah it's tough when it happens alright. Come all too used to it at Leeds though with the likes of Delph and Howson having been sold too. We're lucky we have such a good academy tbh because if we didn't we'd probably be back in League 1 by now. Our player of the season last year was Alex Mowatt and our two best players this year have been Lewis Cook and Charlie Taylor. All straight out of our academy. No doubt they'll all be playing Premiership football before Leeds are and not a penny of the profits made from them will be put towards the playing squad. It's a never ending cycle until the quality players in the academy eventually don't come through and we get relegated or until we get an owner who will actually hold on to these players from the academy and sign good players to play alongside them (Like Derby) Bournemouth have allegedly already bid 10m for Cook.

Sam Byram signs for West Ham. Should do really well there. Another one of our best youngsters from our academy sold. We're basically just a feeder club these days going nowhere. Sad times.

Can't see any reason Southampton would loan him out though? Aye he'll run himself into the ground every game. Great pace and decent in the air for his size. I like Ings too tbf and they are very different strikers. Ings definitely the superior finisher. See what happens sure but I wouldn't be too downhearted as a Liverpool fan if Long does sign.

Long is a lot better than Ings though and offers more in general play than Benteke. Who knows about Sturridge at this stage. Admittedly have not seen enough of Origi. Don't think Long would be a stop gap player tbh. I get your point though. I'd be trying to get a proper goalscorer in too if I was Klopp.
