Enjoying this salt from Mike Florio, UnWise Mike, and Jason Reid.

On the day I was born The nurses all gathered 'round And they gazed in wide wonder At the joy they had found The head nurse spoke up Said "leave this one alone" She could tell right away That I was bad to the bone

LOL, a freind of mine just ran into Mike Shanahan at the Pepsi Center in Denver for the George Strait concert. Shan was all smiles.

Merry Christmas to all Skins fans. IMHO keep Kyle and let Mike and Jim take a major Hike! Kyle and the offensive team have done a decent job scoring this year...The D couldn't stop anyone. Kyle has shown he is capable in Houston, and even with Mike's presence, was able to put up decent numbers with the Skins and a sub par O line. Jim should have been fired with Mike after the 1st year. They have given the fans nothing in year 4 except embarrassment and the worst points allowe...

Hail to Fletcher. Thanks for always giving 110%. Grab Gruden, Snyder, before he signs with Univ of Texas

The end of thios year is the time to make all needed changes. Change the franchise name, change the coaching staff, and trade RG3 for draft picks.

Kyle and MIke Shanahan should be fired right after this game and not allowed to fly back to DC... all of that work to go down to try and tie the game, and you ****ing go for two points and lose the game on a play like that??????? SMDH I dont care what our record is, one play never loses a game but this time it did! sad

That has no bearing in the conversation. Even so, this was a single decision among many many others ina game. To hang this much on the coaches or anyone on this call is absurd. It's a huge over-reaction. Also, everyone in the NFL world that is or has played has agreed going for 2 was the right call.

The standard play is go for the win on the road so you can avoid overtime and their crowd. You go for the tie at home where you have your crowd. They were moving the ball at will and could end it in one play without the falcons touching the ball. You are over-reacting. They may need to be fired but not because they went for two.

Its time to boycott all games, anything that helps the DeadSkins. I am sick of this CRAP

I will admit a nice goal line stand by the defense that made the refs regret the spot.

Shanahan Fan's Fact: This is the 34th season that the NFL has played a 16 game season. Of those 34 years in Redskin history, Shanahan has had the 4th,6th and 9th worst records for points allowed and this years team is the All Time number 1 worst. Shanahan's defensive teams have allowed 377,367,and 388 points against. This years team is setting an all time record with 253 points in 8 games.

rabid - I don't disagree that after 3.5 yrs of JHaslett and MS the D shouldn't be better. However, 2 things, first there really are some outside contributing factors that are highly unusual like th cap hit, the CBA yr and a crazy number of injuries. But more importantly if you want to throw stats and data which I am fan of, you need to be accurate. And you need to be fair. more...

Here is another fan fact - The Skins had the 2nd most games lost to injured starters in the NFL behind only GB, including both starting safeties missing the entire season, and a DE and OLB who only played about 1.5 games each. That's 40% of your starting D missing virtually the entire season. Yet the last 8 games our 20.4 pts/gm was good for 9th overall.

Rabid - You seem to like trashing shinny and that's your right but here is a question for you, why use pts allowed for shanny (which I agree) but not for the 3 previous years? In fact, only in 2008 was the D a "top 10" D in pts allowed. In fact in 2009, the year before shanny took over it was 18th, only a few spots better then the last 3 yrs when it was 21, 21, and 22 respectively. So while there has been no real improvement, until this year it has not been the colossal backslide...

11-5 needs to be the expectation. Easy schedule the rest of the season including 3 games against cupcakes Minnesota and the Giants. Unfortunately we have likely lost home field advantage to Seattle...but if we can win at least one playoff game this year then Shanahan should keep his job as a sign of our progression from last season..

Yes rabid - really and really - The stats do speak for themselves. I don't see anywhere that I said we were better off right now on D. But there are reasons outside of shannys controls that have contributed. Also, the point I was making to mike is that his examples of quick improving teams all already had most of the key skill positions in place. Where is the data wrong? All those are facts.

1st yr we had no draft picks and little cap room tks to vinnie. KC had a horrible year last year but were expected to contend as they were one of the better teams in 2011. Also if you read more clearly, you will see i never said Kap made the difference. My point was and is, those teams had many of the skill positions filled, unlike us who needed a complete overhaul. Look, I am getting impatient with shinny too. But you can't compare the teams you mentioned. Its just not apples to ap...

For whats its worth you can't compare us to any of the teams mentioned. 1St, none of those teams had a $36M cap penalty. In fact they were geven almost $2M of ours. KC was one year removed from SB expectations. Thye just had the wrong QB and needed a few pieces on D. The other skill positions were in place. Same in SF. Except for Kap all the skill positions were basically there. The Colts were one year removed from a 11-5 season adn a SB run. I do agree this seems to be going s...

The year is trashed again. 4th year fiacso by this inept staff. Time to discharge NOW! Give new coach a head start on next year. GET RID OF SHANAHAN AND HIS IDIOT SIDEKICK HASLETT!

I've got 36 million reasons to enjoy the giants misery.

Very disappointed in the character attacks on RGIII and his family.
