  1. While that's true, what if he gets drafted by us, we don't appreciate his ability to get the ball to our playmakers enough, and we trade him? He'd probably be losing a lot of value anyway, but admitting that he wouldn't even try for the other teams could make it really hard to move him.
  2. That's cool that Jayden would do that for us, but I question his work ethic if he's only going to get the ball out to the playmakers for our team alone. If a different team drafts him, he should consider getting the ball to their playmakers instead.
  3. I binged my way up at just the right time. The book's writer says that next episode is the conclusion of the story, so it sounds like there's no season 3. But episode 9 was a thriller the whole way through. spoilers
  4. They're being vague about it, but it sounds like you're on the right track. bbc.com
  5. Pancakes, like white bread and vanilla ice cream, are blank canvases on which to paint your art. You can aim for a simple, majestic piece with maple syrup. You can aim for a classical, vibrant design that includes bright fruits. Or you can go full Salvador Dali and sprinkle cinammon on top of your chocolate chip flapjacks that have been layered in whipped cream. The only limit is your imagination and your willingness to stifle your heart's desires.
  6. People mock muffins, but toast is stupid. It answers a question that I've never heard any sane person ask: "What if we take a perfectly good slice of bread, and burn it until it's crusty?" Then we put jam on it to make our burned bread more palatable.
  7. I don't know about Juan Pierre, but he is cousins with Lamar Jackson. I think the clearest takeaway from all this is that there's nothing to take away from all this, except his agent's company makes the earth tremble beneath a GM's feet when its reps walk through the door.
  8. I'll guess it's a new way to sell information for advertising. Contact a reporter, say you've got a player getting signed, but you'll only tell the reporter if he promises to include the agency's ad blurb at the end of the tweet.
  9. It's thrilling to finally have a player represented by a YMAPAA Sports agent, who brings expertise to YMAPAA Football. YMAPAA agents are excellent. When a YMAPAA agent is signed by a player, that player is guaranteed to be bring and negotiate with the best. YMAPAA doesn't give the YMAPAA stamp of approval without knowing they meet the YMAPAA standards.
  10. I love Tokyo Vice. I can't believe I missed 7 weeks of it. I was checking in January and forgot the release date. 😭
  11. There's nothing mysterious about the choice between a newly drafted rookie QB on a 4 year contract vs. an already certified bust that nobody would touch for even a 5th round pick and has only 1 year left on his contract. Fields would be gone and fighting for a third string seat on another team before the Commanders would even consider giving up on their own drafted rookie. You're fretting over a QB whose production is incredibly replaceable.
  12. Why would we trade a 6th round pick for an unaccomplished bust when we're going to draft a QB 2nd overall? We could draft a long snapper with that 6th rounder and still get better value.
  13. I think Sam getting traded is a somewhat notable indication that Maye is coming. Yes they were teammates before and supposed to be friends, but it would have been awkward even so. The Seahawks didn't pay an insignificant amount to get him. I wonder if they see potential to upgrade on Geno? Best of luck to him when he isn't against us.
  14. Jim Sorgi was the backup that didn't get the love he deserved. 6 TDs - 1 interception, 64% completion rate. They don't build backups like Jim Sorgi anymore.
  15. I'm not concerned about Mariota's time with the Falcons. He made it through his time with the Raiders without being a cancer. He made it through his time with the Eagles without being a cancer. Iirc, he handled benching by the Titans without being a cancer. If it was last year, I'd be concerned. But it's been over a year, he's been invisible, and he should continue to be so. At the very least, there will be no illusions that Mariota is expected to even start this season.
  16. If it's all about leveraging position into a fortune, I don't understand why you aren't surprised Albert Haynesworth isn't universally loved for leveraging his position to be paid to lay on the field. Most fans cheer for players because they want the players to win their team a championship. I can't think of many fans in the NFL who say "I'm a fan of this particular player because his agent was able to find a team desperate enough to meet his contractual demands."
