  1. Obviously this year is big for all those on the list. I would like the scenario where Sweat and Curl take the leap. Sweat to mitigate a negative recovery for Chase. Curl would be a nice fit for our safety/BN position long term. Anything worth keeping from the rest is a bonus. ~Wolffe
  2. I agree. The curious case of Gibson is his hands as it relates to catching the ball isn't as reliable as you would think as a former WR. In an ideal world you would use him like Debo Samuel/Curtis Samuel. Perhaps we use him more like Curtis Samuel with slightly less WR responsibilities. Screens, underneath stuff and motion into the backfield for a few carries. 8-12 touches per game. Still could be a fun and impactful player just need to be more selective and creative with his usage. They tried to use him more like C-Mac thinking his natural size could take the pounding but he lacks the instincts to play the position full time.
  3. I dont think Cam is a lock. Offensively he can be replaces by a TE. On ST, butler and Apke are better gunners. I think we keep 4 TEs with our without Thomas on the PUP list.
  4. Agreed, but Turner could replace Simms as the tall Wr. Terry, Jahan, Curtis. Dyami, (returner), Turner(big slot, TE)
  5. That's what I think is inferred from catch radius. Hands, body control, and leaping ability. Probably in that order. Frame, height and weight as well. However, watching OBJs college tape and Jahan's isn't outlandish. Considering they both are 5'11, excellent hands, punt returners in college. OBJ more explosive. Perhaps Jahan can overcome that with more nuanced route running ability. ****It's the offseason..I listened to The Ringers Podcast on fantasy sleepers. Talking myself into Jahan as a late round sleeper and homer pick.****
  6. New team. New scheme. New players. New coaches. There is an adjustment period. Interesting, considering the historical evidence about his lack of accuracy he has predominantly been in west coast offensives that appear to prioritize timing, rhythm and accuracy. What if we utilize the combination of the deep passing game, quick hitters and then our rushing attack for balance. All that being said it's the first week. Even with the adjustment period, the beat reporters quickly shot down any Heinicke talk. If anything they seem more intrigued with the Heinicke and Sam Howell comparison. The depth of this team will be fun to watch and make the preseason more exciting then in years past.
  7. I will wait until the preseason games before panicking about accuracy issues. There is an adjustment period that Wentz is going through at the moment. New everything. Scott is also gaining a better understanding on what works well and doesn't. This is all apart of the process. Looking forward to game action and the adjustments made thereafter.
  8. Gibson's weight doesn't matter. There is now a natural runner and brusier in town. A few more sweeps, outside zone, screens and slot production will be more beneficial to his skill set. When it's time to move the chains, wear out the clock and punch it in the end zone you know what time it is. B-ROB. Know about it! ~Wolffe
  9. The offensive discussion has mostly been about Wentz, Jahan and a healthy Samuel. The underrated addition could be Brian Robinson. ~Wolffe
  10. We're all homers to an extent. Thats what it means to be a fan of any team. To bet on a player to bounce back, give me the physical attributes and intangibles. That's what Wentz has. Not many will argue with the physical upside, but some question his intangibles. I believe in the underdog, I feel like the chip that has been squarely placed on a 29 yr old QB who has flirted with Top 10 production throughout the majority of his career will have a positive impact for us. I like the scheme fit, the weapons he has at WR, TE and RB. I'm confident in our offense and think they alone will get us to the playoffs. I'm hopeful Chase Young, Montez Sweat, Daron Payne, Jamin Davis, Kam Curl and St. Juste have an uptick in production. If four of those six take another step. Let's go!
  11. Sure. Positive rookie camp tweets are much better then negative. Just ask the Titans. It's also nice to have a WR that has shown nuanced route running and has great hands. Typically, we get "athletes" that lack polish and have suspect hands. ~Wolffe
  12. Nice to see a CB that plays physical. Interested to see Holmes in training camp as the depth at this position is uninspiring after St-Juste. ~Wolffe
  13. Some teams are given the benefit of the doubt. Us? We get the polar opposite in a hyper negative fashion. We just need to win. Until then, every move we make will be viewed from a negative lens. That's why I ride with this squad. When we win, ain't nobody saying **** to me. ~Wolffe
  14. I believe all three Wrs will rotate between those spots. With plenty of motion. ~Wolffe
  15. Brian Robinson could be the best off-season addition outside of Wentz. More significant then the return of Samuel's and implementing Dotson. The bonus is the rave reviews about Dotson so far. Remember the noise about overdrafting him? He quickly put that **** to bed. ~Wolffe
  16. Agreed. Heinicke probably has another year maybe two with us. The only caveat I could foresee is if Scott Turner lands a head coaching position and brings him along to be the veteran for that qb room. (Still a backup) Obviously that would mean our offense kicked ass this year and we make a deep playoff run. Even then it would probably highlight the importance of the ability to push the ball downfield more than anything. ~Wolffe
  17. Doubt it. Heinicke is extremely familiar with this scheme. His moxie, mobility, and competitiveness in this scheme makes up for his lack of physical attributes. I don't think he would be as attractive to other teams given the lack of raw tools and learning a new scheme which could highlight those deficiencies. ~Wolffe
  18. Looks physical on that clip. BN might be an option for him. Wolffe~
  19. Agreed, but your sleeping on Dotson. We added two offensive weapons this draft and dline depth. Exactly what we need.
  20. I actually think Gibsons hands are suspect. ~Wolffe
  21. I like this draft. Not the flashy names or the expected but upon reflection, I see the rationale behind all the picks. OL,LB,TE,Buff-Nick, DB in whatever order here on out. Solid B to B+ for me this year. Dotson and Robinson are going to ball! ~Wolffe
