Thanks Burgold. I like to think I'm open to some sensible reform and I am actually like a majority of gun owners. It's the vocal minority that makes gun owners look bad, just like the vocal minority in so many groups. I decided not to even address Larry. I just asked about details of someone's proposal. Larry decided that I really meant something else and wanted argue the points that I didn't even make.

Never said that. I was curious how much his plan had been thought through. I'm not really worried about it because I don't see it ever happening. Though if it were tried I honestly believe it would lead to civil war (that does not mean I would advocate it).

Just for the sake of argument, let's say you get your wish and an ammendment narrowly passes. How would you go about rounding up all the guns currently out there? You think everyone will just turn them in?

I could be wrong but I believe it is a slightly different version. Ryan knows it will be the same outcome as the 4 other bills that didn't pass. Isn't it his job to prioritize bills that are brought up? Seems to me the left is protesting more that their ideas aren't passed than they are a vote isn't being brought.

Doesn't matter what it means? Good to know. Thanks Larry.I meant was the SC needs to tell the people what the "MILITIA" part means and how it affects everyone. Tired of all this back and forth. Someone needs to decide what the second gives us and make one set of rules across the board. Edit: I've had a few ****tails so I hope what I meant got across.

As much as I'm scared of what the decision might be, we really need the SC to tell us what the 2nd means. Depending on who you talk to, what a "recreational shooter" needs doesn't mean squat depending on you definition of the 2nd.

Looking at the laws California just passed, I will say it givens reason for gun rights people to be worried. I disagree with pretty much everything cali does with guns.

For the person that says she can't work Sunday, I say tell her the same thing we tell people in the military. We use a well thought out, logical, and time honored phrase. It goes "suck it up, buttercup"

I'm probably going to lose some street cred as the local gun nut here but where in the Constitution or Bill of Rights does it say the purpose of the 2nd is to keep our own government from being tyrannical? Is see that used so often. Some one want to provide a link?

I think both sides should just agree to leave abortion and guns alone. Or at least negotiate a peace agreement on the two.

Yea and I don't think it's the first measure we have agreed on either. Maybe they should just make you and I co-HMFIC of America and get rid of the politicians.
