  1. 5 million is a drop in the bucket compared to some of the morbid amounts of money that have been payed for transfers within the EPL. When Jordan Henderson costs more than Arturo Vidal you either throw value out the window or stop buying from EPL clubs. The day he was hired I read a bogus article from a German tabloid that claimed Jurgen Klopp was about to be named United manager...I still read it from time to time.
  2. Yeah I always hated that I have to wait till May to celebrate.
  3. Might as well wait for the facts here. United screwed up but depending on the nature of the screw up Herrera might still want to join in January. Woodward is a Glazer man so the best we can do is hope he just screwed up and will learn from his mistake, and not that he is doing business in a prudent and petty way on behalf of the owners.
  4. We might be overpaying and we might not be time will tell. If you want a player from Bilbao that's the only way to do it as they don't negotiate. He's featured in the Spain u20's and u21's along with other borderline world class players that can't make it into Del Bosque's squad, much like Coutinho isn't a regular for Brazil but still a great player. I've seen him play about a dozen or so games for Bilbao and it's a gamble, but I understand why they're making it. I might be biased but neither Liverpool nor Chelsea outplayed United and despite the goal drought the midfield is still the weakest area of the squad and what we need is a better link up between the forwards/wingers and midfield. Someone that is constantly on the move and available for the ball with the creativity to get the ball into dangerous areas, which is exactly what Herrera does. If the only problem is Moyes and Woodward needing to do work that is more fitting to the stature of the club they're at I'm not too worried. Woodward can always be replaced.
  5. United are finished and Liverpool have won the league. Heard that song before but who knows this year might be different and it doesn't fade away into the background before Christmas.
  6. Didn't have to happen but another Scot was hired misguidedly. He did a lot of damage in a short period of time.
  7. Rumour has it he was on the shortlist but lost out to 'David Moyes Football Genius.'Hail. You're lucky Liverpool's club stature is currently as such that nobody batted an eyebrow when they hired a manager from a mid-table club that had little to no experience on bigger stages. Rumour has it he was on the shortlist but lost out to 'David Moyes Football Genius.'Hail. Double post
  8. Yeah, if a top player right now has a choice between playing for Manchester United under Moyes and Bayern under Pep, I dont think its much contest right now. If Fergie was still there it would be a different story. Pep gave Thiago his chance in the first team and Pep's brother is Thiago's agent. Jesus could have been United's manager.
  9. I hope if there were any Clippers fans in attendance they were on their hands and knees thanking the almighty Stern who saved their franchise from another decade's worth of lottery picks.
  10. uefa u21s? Yeah todays games were actually pretty entertaining I hope my country hosts a good tournament. Should be a stroll in the park for Spain.
  11. Witch hunt? Sure lets give the nut job that bites someone on a football pitch during a world wide televised game the benefit of the doubt. I suppose Ivanovic had just git bitten by a snake and Suarez was trying to suck the poison out. Maybe he'll even try the this is acceptable in Uruguay cop out again.
  12. Where's Kenny Dalglish to say he was blowing his nose.
  13. They gave me a D, but looking at their player rankings I think the whole experience would be much better with their opinion being withheld.
  14. Whoever is running the Wizards is Red Aurbach compared to Jim Buss.
