  1. The defense under Flip has been better than before for sure. Even since we've traded Arenas, our defensive rankings put us somewhere in the top 15 in the NBA. The problem is Flip's offense. The system is designed to revolve around an athletic PF who can stretch the floor, the stuff he ran with Garnett. That's why he plays Blatche so much because Dray is the only one who can help run it (but really he can't). I don't think the system plays to any of our players strengths, except maybe Nick Young. ---------- Post added January-7th-2011 at 11:48 PM ---------- Oh yeah, then what is this? You are a joke dude. Please leave this thread LeBron fanboy. We don't welcome your kind in here.
  2. Genius, if you could understand context, you would know what I was talking about.. You referenced to Duncan not being a top 5 player in the championship, which is what I responded to. But of course, feel free to deflect your own stupidity and continue to bend and twist my words rather than staying on topic. You got called out on your **** and you had no response besides going completely off topic.
  3. For all the English fail in the post, I'll try my best to respond to whatever I could understand. I never suggested that Tim Duncan is a top 5 player CURRENTLY. I was responding to your idiot notion that he wasn't one (or that it was debatable) that he was a top 5 player in the period between 2000 and 2010. Tim Duncan without any question is a top 5 player of the 2000's and arguably the best player of that decade. For anyone who disagrees with this should not bother posting in this thread.
  4. "Make the case for him"? That again makes no sense at all. You don't make a case for the best player of the decade. To even consider him a questionable top 5 selection is retarded. At worst, he is the third best player of this decade.
  5. Tim Duncan isn't a top 5 player? This has got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Even the Pistons, they might not have had a top 5 player overall in the NBA, but they had elite players at every position except SF. Billups, Hamilton, Sheed and Ben Wallace were all top 5 or at worst top 10 players at their positions. That is very rare in the modern NBA to have four dominant players at four starting positions.
  6. The reality behind the horrendous state of this franchise clears up more and more after every game. This team in its current state is absolutely terrible. A lot of work needs to be done. IMO besides Wall, Young and McGee, we don't have any reliable players. I think Booker and Seraphin will eventually be guys who can provide good back up minutes. Blatche needs to be traded. Not only is he bad on the court, but his lifestyle of the court can do some great damage to a lot of young players on this team. I know there are people who afraid of another Webber like situation, but Blatche doesn't have an ounce of talent that C-Web had. Blatche is a ****ing pansy. We need to nail it with our upcoming lottery pick. If we bust on this pick, we are screwed for another few years. Ted has a lot of image cleaning to do to make this team attractive to free agents. Sometimes it's exciting to watch a young team develop, but I don't see a whole lot of development going on right now. Everything has hit stalemate, the players aren't responding and the talent isn't producing. This is always a sign that the coaching staff in place isn't doing its job. I still don't think Flip is a bad coach, but I think the players have quit on him and that he has quit on them. I don't think Ernie will fire him. Ernie has always been a low risk, wait and see kind of a GM. He has never done the ballsy thing, only the safe thing.
  7. Nothing to see here. Blatche sucks, Flip is an idiot and this team doesn't play all four quarters.
  8. I wouldn't mind Varejao. Hate the guy with a great deal of passion but he's a scrappy veteran who will help our rebounding and give us a good defender. Christian Eyenga is another player. They've been raving about him on many hoops websites. He's apparently the Cavs second best prospect behind JJ Hickson. I doubt Cleveland gives him up for Blatche but who knows. The biggest thing I'm afraid of is that his value drops so much that instead of us being the team that sells high, we'll be the ones getting bent over if his current play continues.
  9. Not disagreeing. Making the playoffs this year under any circumstance is a long term disaster for this team.
  10. I'm going to laugh my ass off if Cleveland takes Blatche. I don't care what they give us in return. They are going to get suckered into the laziest POS I've seen on this team in a long time. Party Blatche is going to HATE Cleveland.
  11. Blatche is a total loser. No effort again tonight, giving up key rebounds and giving no post presence. The guy isn't worth a cheese sandwich right now.
  12. McGee plays like a top 10 center when Wall plays. Plays like a dumbass when he doesnt.
  13. PJ, I know it's not saying much but this team is one 3 game winning streak from being back in the race for the 8th playoff spot.
  14. Blatche is the biggest loser we've had in the longest time. He makes me sick. Can't believe I used to defend this bum.
  15. Blatche doesn't care. He's too be busy thinking about his party in Crystal City tonight.
  16. I've got class Tuesday nights starting from the 10th. But besides Tuesday and Thursday, I'm good for any other day!
  17. Good time at the game with 2k and GAC. We gotta do this more. Was a treat watching Blatche play tonight.
  18. McGee will be fine. At worst, he'll develop into a starting center who can provide energy and effort on most nights. I've rarely seen McGee not trying out there, he's just not very bright. But we've all seen his game improve leaps and bounds over the last two years and at his age, he will continue to improve. Blatche on the other hand is at the point where he should be a veteran leader for this squad. He's been in the league long enough. I love the guys skill set but with every passing game, I have a hard time imagining him being a starting contributor on a winning team.
  19. I would rather shove forks in my eyes than watch a Larry Brown coached team.
  20. The end of the game lineup was just stupid, but that has become pretty common for Flip.
  21. Pretty much and that was there for the Capitals. Ovechkin was an excellent building block and having a guy like him raised the play level of the other young players and helped attract veteran free agents. The Wizards and Nationals have those elite level building blocks with Wall, Strasburg and Harper. The Skins are sorely lacking a franchise QB right now. The state of this franchise won't change until then. The entire city is tired of having this circus carousel at this position. It's high time we get a guy who can be our own for 10+ years.
  22. You are looking at it purely from a championship standpoint. I don't think any of our teams are championship contenders either. All I'm saying is to get to that point, I think the Caps are the closest. They have a huge window of oppurtunity and will contend for a decade barring catastrophe. The Wizards are pretty far off but they have talent at key positions, especially in the backcourt with Wall and Young. The Nats have the makings of a strong pitching rotation and have an ELITE batting talent waiting to come to the pros. The only thing the Redskins have going for them right now is faith in a good coach. The talent is simply not there yet. I do believe that the Skins have the best management in terms of all DC teams right now so they have a good chance of utilizing talent that they may acquire in the next two years.
  23. The building blocks for the Nats, Wizards and Capitals are much better in terms of quality and quantity than the Redskins. That is not even debatable. Now what the managements do with the blocks is a whole different story.
  24. Um ok what is your point? I'm not debating legacy or history. I'm debating the present and the current state of the franchises. Reading comprehension chipwich. Start working on it.
