It took possibly the greatest QB in history to beat them ONCE that year. On a down night. And Marino was still sub 50% passing in that game if I remember correctly. Undefeated seasons are rare for a reason.
I hope you are using the word "possibly" lightly when rationalizing Dan Marino as the greatest in history. There was a time when that was the case. BUT how soon we forget about the GOAT. He is the inconvenient truth regardless of era. We all had our idols back then but it is hard to argue that the athletes of today are on another level and the scheme/concepts/coaching/ analytics is advanced evolution compared to yesteryear. As far as Da Bears VS new era teams, it is one of those arguments that can't be solved without a serious amount of beer. Singletary had some crazy eye's that scared the **** out of me when I was 12 though. I thought he was super human.

Swinging and missing is fine as long as the swing isn’t debilitating and the miss doesn’t make you gun shy.
The 49ers had Garrappolo, then traded a bunch for Lance and quickly pivoted to Purdy.
The Eagles had, Bradford, then Foles, then Wentz and then Hurts. They just kept trying.
The issue IMO isn’t “making the mistake”, it’s not quickly moving on from it.
This post is simple yet insightful and is 100% correct.

I'd take the 85 Bears over any team from this decade. God I'd love to see the 85 Bears vs Tom Brady just to see him get hit and fear for his life.
He would probably still find a way to win though.

Cant watch or hear the game. Was Sam's INT brutal or not his fault?

Simien and G. Wilson and Breece Hall are going to shred this pathetic D. We are toast and Ron is the lamest of all ducks, 37-10 JETS

If week by week, we were flooded by screen shots and cut-ups of Howell clearly missing on positive opportunities, most would be singing a different tune. The offensive tape primarily offers indictments on the playcalling, and lack of OL talent/coaching.
Agree. Further, I believe that there have been many potential star QB's faulter and have their careers ruined by bad coaching and/or protection. Sam seems to handle it well but we dont want a Patrick Ramsey on our hands. He is a tough SOB. The whole team has quit so its pretty tough to judge anyone right now.

Former scouts are saying something different and I see the same thing.
Probably a former scout for a reason.

Ron's demise was not only poor coaching but his draft picks especially in the first round have been complete busts. Talent can make up for poor coaching or at least disguise it for a while. Ron has been exposed for what he is, a nice guy who sucks at coaching.

If Dak was accurate in this game it would be over by a mile.

Defense steps up and the offense stalls. Ugh.
Rinse wash repeat. This is always the case.

Love how Howell acts like he's been there before after scoring. Like Barry Sanders.

Dak's "ya here we go" in Oscar the grouch voice is getting old fast.

Having Barton back helps. Or does it? Forbes not playing helps a ton because he is a hot mess. Not having Gibby will be a problem if he can't go. Pound Robinson into them and slow down their opportunities. 27-20 Commies. There I said it.

Yeah, it's not common...part if the name change to me came across like trying to become closer to the area in different ways.
This is in context the franchise changed their name to the Redskins while still in Boston, it never had anything to do with DC.
I think their inclusion of the State flag was when they went from Pheonix to Arizona. I see that the Cards actually got rid of the State flag on the new uni's. Fans weren't happy about the removal though and I think its back on some variations.

Change is hard, we should be happy we got to keep the colors in that too many folks connected our Washington football heritage to racism.
And with so many team's having black alternate jerseys, at what point does it become heritage? It has to start somewhere. Is there another jersey that has the state or city flag on it besides ours?
Cardinals off the top of my head have the state flag.

Okay but we swept them in 2020 when Dak was hurt and they were already completely out of the playoff race. We beat them in the finale last year when they basically had nothing to play for(and neither did we).
Saying we've been a thorn in their side is disingenuous. They've owned our arses anytime it actually matters.
I don't know. Injuries can be an excuse for any team. I mean I don't have to remind you who our QB was in 2020. We split the past 6 games is all I am saying. Spin it how you you want to spin it.

How so? We have yet to beat the Cowboys in a game that mattered to both teams since 2018.
The caveat being a game that matters to both teams is debatable. We have split the past 6 games. As underdogs in all of those games I would say its fair to assume we have been a thorn in their side.
-
We are the thorn in Dallas's side as the Giants are to us. That being said we loose 27-20.

nope. This is still Snyder’s mess. He names an interim as if that’s gonna matter, and all of a sudden he sticks his clean fingers in this **** stew for no reason. Just let them bleed out and move on after the season.Agreed its Snyders mess but would you leave dog **** on your carpet for two months if you had an oppertunity to clean it now? This is getting embarrassing to see new records of futility achieved every week. Look what Pierce did for Oakland so far. Someone mentioned Kerrigan, maybe it was KDawg, why not something like that? Settling for the unacceptable is not acceptable.

Do what? There is no one on this staff who can take over as interim. You can’t fire the entire defensive staff.
I might fire Del Rio but that’s just a token at this point.
Only reason to fire Ron is to get an early start on the GM and HC process I guess.
At this point Jeff Saturday could do a better job.
