The combine and proday's for the QB's will be must watch TV. Probably more entertaining than any Commanders games have been this season.

Prior reconstructions are in fact less stable and more susceptible to re-injury. They are also a problem with arthritis and stiffness as a person ages. So Penix will be up against it for his medicals with longevity in mind.

You're probably right l, but every year there are a few WTF trades. Too bad Dan didn't buy a different team so we could trade with them 🤷
You may be right also. Someone watching Sam's early season success may think he is worth investing in. I could see Sean Payton seeing something in him as there is some Brees to his game. Well at least there was before we RR destroyed his psyche. Not having BRob for a big stretch hurt also IMO.

I agree, only caveat being there is some foolish GM out there who wants to overpay for him.
I think that ship has sailed and it may turn out to be a good thing long term. Sam needs a breather and this current team is not a safe place for QB success.

Politics. We all know this place would become unlivable with Sam and the new QB.
We need to start from clean slate and dump any/all guys from the past.
I don't know about that. He was a fifth round selection. Surely they could play nice and at least we would have a good back up?

I hear you and can see it happening, but not because I think he can turn it around. Per se
I think the nfl will rig it via ref ball so that he can become the most winningest coach of all time sometime in the next 2 years
After that's accomplished, in his 3rd year he will miraculously win the superbowl to be the first to win it with 2 teams.
It makes for to great of a story for the nfl to turn down.
If Bill comes here I doubt he would go qb. He would probably bring in a vet qb and trade down and select nabers.
If it's any older coach I'm thinking they trade down for draft capital and bring in a vet qb, to try to restock the talent pool and win now.
I dont like that idea and would rather have a slowic or ben Johnson type, but I would be happy with the dc from Baltimore as well. I think any of these would draft their qb maybe trading up to #1 to get him, and strap themselves to that pick.
If Macdonald can hit on a rookie first round qb then that duo would be nasty and would allow us to build an offensive coordinator tree just in case they were hired off to be head coaches. This is probably my favorite of all the options
I don't buy in to any rigging job because it taints the watching experience for me. It does seem like the fix is in sometimes but I chalk it up to human error. 😆
I am not sure Bill would just trade down for the sake of trading down. Surely he of all coaches knows the importance of QB play. We all know we haven't seen the last of BB, and safe to assume he has a plan already if he was to get booted.
The other guys you mention are intriguing because they would not need full control as Bill probably would. Stay tuned.

If they do put put they going Caleb, I want to hear what the asking price is for Fields.
There's no way not to sabotage themselves if they do because first question regarding value would be "why are you replacing him then?"
QBs like Murray and Fields absolutely I'd pull the trigger for on a 2nd rounder if that will get it done, ours is damn near a first rounder from a value standpoint so should get it done.
Murray would definitely be intriguing for a 2nd. I am not a contract guy but I know he is expensive however that may be why he could be dumped for a second. My guess is he wouldn't go for less than a firts rounder though, and maybe more. I must admit I have thought about both those trade scenarios you mention. in either case it would precipitate a trade down scenario or a run at MHJ. I am stoked because at 2 we have a lot of power and flexibility. Now who will be pulling the trigger on these decisions? To me, that selection of FO is more pivotal than the high pick and it is not even close.

Looks like Fields jus shredded again today...
Im not buying the slam dunk of getting rid of him, either.
Me either. Fields just keeps getting better and he is currently playing in the show while doing it. Sometimes its better to invest in what is tangible based on evidence.

Yeah, Saints/Falocns is huge if we both lose. There's only 6 things that can effect things and that's 2 of them right there.
If New Orleans wins, we need one of the other 4 games to go our way. If Atlanta wins, we need 3 of the other 4.
Good news is its in New Orleans and they are paying better right now.
I don't even know how Atlanta has that many wins with the QB sitch they have. They also stink and their coach is a stubborn bonehead. NO will take car of business.

I would definitely be in the crowd that would not be butt hurt if Bill was hired as the next coach for this team. I do realize I am in the minority on that opinion but proof is in the pudding. It wasn't all Tom that won all those rings. They were a well managed and well coached team for decades. That being said if the next boy wonder exists we need to find him because BB is getting long in the tooth.

Nah, I think Kraft will order the code red. Giants are. going to get crushed by Philly. They'll leapfrog NE if the Pats win. No way will NE want to fall to 5 with a glaring hole at QB. Saints beating Atlanta is the biggest game next week.
Heiny better be throwing ints and fumbling for pylons.

One of my sons went to UNC, saw Sam play a lot, Can carry a team but gets in trouble trying to do too much. I hope he does well, UNC's system is not an easy transition to the pros. May would have a difficult transition as well. I would like to see Sam with a better supporting cast, he looked shaken today. Big difference from the stat of the season
My guess is that we draft an o lineman and somehow end up with Russell Wilson
Getting Russ would be a very Snydery move.

They are playing for the division title and a home playoff game. They are going to absolutely destroy us.
I am pretty sure I could catch a ball against Forbes and I am 2 feet shorter and 25 years older than Lamb. 😆

I can understand the character issue problem we been burned in the past many times. Haskins was a miss no doubt about it. The other two had major injuries. I think you got to take Williams but I could understand why people are afraid with all the whispers.
The problem I had with RG and Chase was how they conducted themselves while injured. That being said if the new FO views Williams as a hungry, hard working player who will learn and grow regardless of obstacles, then absolutley go get him because he is a special talent.

RG3 gave us a division championship as a rookie. And was heading for absolute superstar territory without the injury. I would still make that trade and pick 100 times out of 100. And Caleb Williams is a far better passer than RG3 ever was. Like lightyears better.
Not comparing talent. Comparing character.

I’m not saying you’re off on your assessment but people had character issues about Micah Parsons also.
I know what you are saying. However I can't get the bad taste of RG3 and Haskins out of my mouth. Both were selfish personalities and placed themselves before team. I am not saying Williams is that but there are whispers to the contrary. Heck no one had Chase Young as having character issues but he really was a selfish waste of talent so when you draft it is definitely important to do the character checks. When it comes to QB I like the more mature character over the diva. Even if the diva is a slightly sexier pick.

If Williams is gone do we take Mayeor
Maye all day. Also I would pick him over Williams. I don't trust the character that Williams is for longevity.

Even the top ones arent really working out. Take KC for example this year. They have struggled with dropped passes and boneheaded plays from the WR position because they could not afford to keep veteran guys there. Imagine that team with Hill right now. And then look at them without him.
Naw, they are just cursed by T Swizzle. LOL

Agree. If there is someone there that the new office believes is the franchise, you go get em and dont look back.

Cowboys didn't like the way the last game ended last year. They will play to win.

He might not win the game but you have to give the team the best option to win games. Why on earth would we continue to run Sam out there and watch him struggle. No chance we are letting Chase Young come in here and have a field day either.
Jacoby runs the offense more efficiently that Sam. I guarantee the players are behind this decision as well.
FWIW Chase Young doesn't have field days.

2024 NFL Draft Position/Tracker - Final Pick #2

Jayden Daniels looks pretty skinny. Almost Forbesish. Will he hold up?
