  1. I moved from 422 row 16 to 117 row 27, just around the corner. I also have 50 years worth of seniority and 3 seats (see below) The other account isn't goign to matter unless they're merged together. They only look at the account number on the account in question, especially since its mostly automated. My conversations with the ticket office basicallys aid the following: 2 and 4 seat combinations are the most common, hence the hardest to move forward the home side is significantly slower in upgardes so the fact that you have had slow/no upgrades with 2 and 4 seats on the home side is not exactly surprising. nor is the fact that they reserve those seats to bait people into club seats (i've received the same offers, i know exactly what you're talking about). i was told that since i have 3 seats i'd have a significant advantage in upgrades - they can plug me into holes others can't fit in (2, or 4+). which is probably why i got such a good upgrade... there was a hole there and i have pretty good seniority. i don't expect that to make you happy, and i certainly agree with you that they could upgrade us they jsut choose not to because they want to use the best seats in the house to sell club seats and to give to brokers instead of life long fans who have own tickets for decades. i'm simply adding my two cents to help explain the situation.
  2. i would call if you're really interested. i've never received a response via email, but always had luck with the phone probably because he asked for an upgrade. so they send him an email letting him know to check his assignment as it's been done. i hope you're right. i opted not to ask fro home side, and am on the visitors side now. we'll take back the stadium when the team is worth going to games to watch again. hopefully that starts this year.
  3. I'll be over there with you. We'll make it the right side
  4. It makes sense to me. They probably make the account when you sign up, and it's assigned an 'Account Number' which is whatever the last one was + 1. They probably simply judge 'seniority' by who has the lower account number. The idea that someone joined the list long ago, skipped the offers to have tickets, then finally accepted and now have tickets is probably the exception rather than the rule. So it probably allows for some weird situations, but by and large it probably accurately determines seniority. I agree with you, it is different, but seems to be the way they do things. They've changed a lot of their methods to get away from the 'you should be lucky to have seats at all' mentality and more towards the 'we want to provide you with quality service', but this one appears to still be left in the old mentality. It'd be nice if you saw what the options were... I just don't know that it's possible with this many people (i mean, of course it is, but is it worth the time and effort on their end? probably not...) ---------- Post added June-13th-2012 at 04:15 PM ---------- just got the following email: So i assume you'll get an email shortly after the upgrade is done (about 24 hours in my case). So you don' tneed to check it every day
  5. I'm not trying to say that you're wrong, or that what you're suggesting is not a better system, but... thats no different than how it is when you sign up for tickets in general. you're required to put down a deposit per seat with absolutely no guarantee where you're seats will be.
  6. I think the general consensus is that is probably is easier to move to the 50 on the vistors side just because so many people want to be on the home side (a reason i'm sticking to the visitors side) i don't think we have any confirmed proof or concrete evidence, it's just an assumption. The invoice system is obviously spotty, we've all seen it do some weird things. I wouldn't assume you aren't getting upgraded, but what you're describing doesn't follow the normal format. The normal format is: - one day your tickets disappear from your invoice (the S&H and parking charges stay) - one day, down the road, they reappear with your new seating assignment. Just because you're tickets show up and still have the old seat that's not an indication you aren't getting upgraded. It's just not 'normal' (if there is such a thing at this point, with this system). You can always call the ticket office. They've been really friendly with me, and other reports from the last year or two suggest they're doing a pretty good job at answering questions and being nice about things.
  7. there is nothing that will replace that. i'll enjoy being in the LL finally, but thats one thing i'll definitely miss... especially after some of the really good wins (we haven't had many of them. here's one that i wish i could relive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1uEyZKJ0o8&t=2m39s )
  8. Thanks. I originally put 127, but it was 117.
  9. w00t my upgrade is in! section 117 row 27! Thats from 422 row 17 last year.
  10. ah! nice idea... i'm currently trying to figure out wtf i'm going to do when we start having kids... right now my wife goes to all the games. 60% club seats sounds good congrats though. i hope you enjoy your seats. i may be in your section
  11. Ah, well congrats! Thats certainly good information about lower level assignments (next 24 hours), i hope there's some truth to that so this thread can finally die for another 10 months So you bought 3 years with of club seats are part of the agreement to get into the lower level, or am I reading your post incorrectly?
  12. Did you call? They still aren't in my invoice. Also there is no section 11, so that part is a little confusing.
  13. Just to clarify, my use of the word 'dumb' was more twoards the idea that 'Personal Seat License' is anything other than another way to charge more money. You get nothing out of it. There are no protections afforded to you by the team. If you don't pay for tickets one year you lose your license. It's not a 'license' in any sense of the word. It's a 'dumb' thing to invest in, because you're investing in essentially nothing other than the idea that someone will (stupidly) pay more than you did for it at some point in time in the future. Now if you're accepting it as that and just paying for it because you want to and can afford to, then thats a completely different matter. But if someone were to post on here defending it, and had bought into some idea that a PSL was something to covet and desire, then yes I would consider that person to be 'dumb' as they don't understand what you are (not) getting with this 'license'. hopefully thats clear. i'm pretty sure there are people out there who think they are getting something for the PSL's. I've yet to see an implementation that was more than a thinly veiled added cost.
  14. I agree with the last part. And I was saying the NFL thinks we're dumb and thats why they're doing this - because they know they can. I'm not arguing that they're wrong, I'm just pointing out what the bottom line logic is. I agree with the NFL - the majority of the general population is pretty dumb. I'll have to be making stupid money to be ok with paying this (and I may be by the time we get a new stadium, who knows?). The good news is we have 12 years before thats even a discussion (i think we have 14 or 15 years on the lease left?). So we'll have a decade to see how PSL's play out and be able to make an informed decision as fans if the new stadium requires them. In the meantime I cannot imagine that PSL will be worth more than what the person original paid for them (accounting for inflation of course)
  15. well i think different teams implement it differently but the PSL is just a licensing fee - it's a one time amount, obviously if you spread the payments out over years you may pay interest or service charges or something. but it's a one time fee. so it's 2k for the right to pay for the tickets. which is absurdly stupid. NFL teams are showing how dumb they think we are - that we should pay an additional 2k for the right to pay for the seats. they're spinning it as an investment - one day you can sell your license to someone when you're ready to give up your tickets, and you can make money. but there's absolutely no evidence to back up the idea that PSL's will be worth more in the future (to be honest there's not any real hard evidence they wont be worth more either) furthermore, in addition to paying for the PSL you have to continually pay for your seats to keep them. so you can't take a year off and retain your license. first year you don't pay for your tickets you lose your license. it's a ticket increase. plain and simple. the alleged benefits are non-existent or a joke to believe in.
  16. ugh. yeah, definitely do not want a new stadium.
  17. Nope. And I'm not calling or emailing them...they probably get harassed enough as is They'll be done sometime mid month which is the same as last year.
  18. End of May/Beginning of June has been the standard line. There's no reason to think they're lying. The upgrade process is probably a nightmare that literally takes a month. As a CS major/Programmer, I can understand the problems that arise from trying to 'automatically' upgrade 80k seats. You ahve to remember a lot of people have very specific requests - a computer cannot process those, a person has to do that. So i'm sure the computer system gives them a few 'rough' layouts to go with and they pick one then do manual manipulation. I can imagine it's very time consuming. I'm actually surprised they don't charge a fee to be upgraded
  19. I don't know how difficult it is once you're already on the visitor sidelines, but what I would recommend is you make it known in your upgrade notes that you prefer to be on the redskins side so they mvoe you out of the endzone in that direction to start with. Hopefully someone else can give you some more information on that. You may want to call the ticket office. If you do please report back here with the answer
  20. did you request an upgrade? my seats are still blank
  21. yeah those announcements also went out before the draft sometime... there was a whole page of people asking if it was true. so there you go, yes it's true
  22. yeah. nothing amazingly cool and new, just something different hah!
  23. Woah, they just redid the season ticket holders login - redskins.com/myaccount under completed invoices my tickets are still gone, so i'm not suggesting anything breaking here but they did change the login and some of the interface... and they must have done it today because i check this every day (because there's something wrong with me)
  24. just go directly to the page: www.redskins.com/myaccount
