  1. I just got a 'thank you for paying, upgrades will be processed shortly' email. however i had a certain block that contained this: Called, and I got a "TBD" section in the lower level endzone. Said upgrades should be processed in May and we should receive specific seats then. But he also said Tickets will arrive in July and they never show up before August so maybe he's a month on the optimistic side. yay!
  2. ah thats right, last payment for the payment plan hasn't been processed yet. thanks for that, no point in checking until at least then
  3. sorry if i missed something and an repeating questions but... it's safe to say upgrades have started? based on all the parking upgrades i would think so, and I believe S&S said his location is no longer on his invoice? Are other people in the lower level seeing the same thing? I still see mine, but i'm upper level and we're (obviously) last
  4. interesting. i have 3 tickets, but this is my first year trying to upgrade. i imagine it has little to do with a specific number, or whether it's odd/even, but more to do with how you fit into the holes when you come up in the system. if there's a hole for 3 tickets somewhere, you stand a better chance at getting them since I imagine the # of people with just 3 tickets is small percentage wise. i would also imagine having a lot of tickets (say 8+) makes it harder to upgrade since you need a bigger hole to be able to move.
  5. For those of you asking about B3, go here http://www.extremeskins.com/showthread.php?147933-Everything-You-Ever-Wanted-To-Know-About-FedExField in your browser hold down control, and hit f - this will bring up search. Type in 'Parking' it'll take you to the parking section of the post. It has a map, and explanation, of all the parking. PS: MTH's thread is extremely informative. You should read the entire thing just so you know, even if some of the information doesn't apply to you. you may be able to help someone in the future, or make a better informed decision because you read that post.
  6. i think they took them out in the 300 level? not entirely sure though. i think your seats are safe. i'm curios if the 0.0 charge is the place holder for the actual charge. sometimes if you use a debit card at a restaurant you'll see a charge for 99.99 (Or some other number) even though your meal was only 50$. it's a place holder where they're just checking it's a valid card/account/etc, and the price is updated later.
  7. S&S i don't come here much anymore, so i'm only going to address these two points... i think by and large we agree with each other, and for the most part the rest of our conversation is eithe resolved, due to a misunderstanding, or one/both of us overreacting and not worth continuing. that said. Sure. i agree with that. They said it was because the account was so old, and didn't mention any other reason. Sure, it could have been because they were removing my seats - but at that point they hadn't even told me they were removing my seats. But yes, in hind sight that could have been the reason why; but even if that was why, then it's super underhanded by the ticket office. Yes, based on last year thats what it means. i'm in the upper level, my tickets are still there Based on last year they did the entire lower bowl before they touched the upper level - which, of course, makes sense. keep us posted!
  8. yeah, my favorite is when people get on about how fedex field can't be loud.... you clearly haven't been to a game that was worth being loud at, because it can certainly get extremely loud. just so happens there have been a grand total of like 4 games worth getting loud about since the stadium opened. one of which was this one: most of you probably know it as this, starting at the 2 minute mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1uEyZKJ0o8 that was the most ridiculous game i've seen live.
  9. SonnyAndSam, sometimes you're an incredibly thoughtful poster. But other times you just post nonsense for the sake of posting nonsense and try to paint every single person as a complainer or constant snyder basher and it's really annoying. I'm aware of what the $3 dollar ticket fee is for, I was pointing out it doesn't make much sense based on how every other system works. Normally it's a per transaction fee, but the way it's breaking down is just not typical. It's $3. I wasn't complaining so much as trying to point out that someone doing 3 transactions is paying the same as someone doing 1, which seems odd. I'm well aware of the cost of developers, servers, bandwidth, etc. I'm an IT consultant. I've never suggested Snyder foot the bill for everything, but please continue with the mocking sarcasm I suppose it amuses some. Everyone has had an opportunity to renew their tickets. People who haven't renewed yet either aren't going to, or are playing the system. It's well known and documented throughout the forums and other places that holding out can get you benefits others don't get even though they follow the rules. So let's not pretend that the reason they can't run it now is because not everyone's had a chance. The reason they wont run it now is because they aren't satisfied with how many people have committed to tickets, and they're holding off until the last minute so they can persuade/bribe more people into tickets. That's the only reason. To give you an example: if the redskins were in a situation where if you didn't renew by april 1st, they could drop you and have every vacant seat actually filled by committed people (read: they pay the invoice over the phone immediately) by the 15th (thats two weeks), they would drop anyone who didn't renew by the 1st and let all the new people in. They'd do it in a heartbeat, and you know they would. The only reason they let people slide is because they can't fill those seats. The upgrade is done (according to the redskins) in terms of how 'seniority'. I've yet to see any evidence that someone who didn't pay by april first was not allowed an upgrade because of that. I agree with you, that there's nothing wrong with upgrading them afterwards. I just don't see how it works that way. And they do not get the benefit of the doubt because of their history; they've earned the reputation they get, and putting it in a bullet point on a flyer doesn't mean that reputation is on them. The burden is on the team to prove that they don't reward people for paying late anymore, and they've yet to prove it. And I'm not telling anyone that you can still get an upgrade with late payment. In fact, I even referenced that the Redskins say you won't. I'm pointing out that history shows that not paying your invoice on time results in a call (or multiple calls) from the redskins with addition perks added that the rest of us don't get. My boss used to have tickets as well. He still got the calls last summer, mid summer, about what they can do to get him back into the stadium. He hasn't received any call this year that I'm aware of, but it's only April. We've got all the way until the start of regular season. Which reminds me - wasn't it last season late payers were allowed to renew up until the week before the home opener but didn't have to pay for preseason? Sounds like rewarding late payers to me. My green parking pass reward was the alternative to the reward I couldn't afford at the time (wish I would have taken it) which was to move to the lower level side lines. I've posted before about that offer. According to the ticket rep, the offer was made because of the age of my account and they were genuinely curious if I was ready to finally relocate my seats (hilarious, considering they were forcing reloation but didn't mention any of that). I said I couldn't afford the 99$/seat tickets because I was in transition between jobs and starting a new company that may or may not take off; turns out it did take off, and I didn't get the same option this year, I wish I would have rolled the dice but what can you do? So instead they gave me a green parking pass. It was to get me to renew my tickets, and at that point I hadn't heard a single word about seats being ripped out; not even sure it was in the media yet. So your seats are indeed gone? That (in the past) indicates the upgrade has started, which is great news. edit: finally, my opinion is based solely on what i've experienced, people I know have experienced, and what has been posted here in the past. I'd love for everything I just said to no longer be true from this year forward. It'd be the way it's supposed to be - and I'll be very happy. But - they need to prove that things have changed, and rules are enforced, before I start just believing that the system isn't corrupt. It's been corrupt for a long long time, and even if they do fix the above mentioned items they still have to fix the fact that they sell large chunks of seats in prime GA seating locations to brokers, while the rest of us get held up in terms of upgrading our seats because of it. ---------- Post added April-6th-2012 at 11:33 AM ---------- I agree with you, except i don't think it'll take until 2027. It'll take until there is a buyer that is willing to buyout the remainder of the lease. DC wanted to, but buying out half of the lease (15 years worth) is just too much. I bet when we get down to less than 10 years left someone will be willing to do it. I don't think the stadium is nearly as bad as everyone else seems to. Most of the complaints i hear are either caused by unrealistic expectations, blown out of proportion and are made by people who don't actually go to the stadium on a regular basis and just listen to the media, or would magically go away if the team wasn't as bad as it's been.
  10. probably not since most of the upper level endzone has been removed. lol
  11. so if you split your payment in 3 the total fee stays the same, 1$ is applied to each payment? thats interesting. I paid $3 and paid in full. Doesn't really matter, but you'd think if it was a transaction fee it'd be x per transaction. doesn't really matter though. as for your seats being gone, are you going to account management -> view invoices, and seeing what it says for your 2012 invoice? thats how you check. The whole log in and don't see anything on the main screen thing is normal. It'd be nice if they just ran it now, let us all know, and let people who pay late deal with whatever is left, but they wont. They promise every year that they're going to stop letting late payers slide, or at the very least stop rewarding them, but it never happens. Hell, last year I didn't renew when I found out about my seats being removed and not getting any answers from the ticket office. paid 2 months late and got green parking (yeah, you know the lots they say are full and you have to wait years for while you sit in grey?) as a bonus - i didn't even have parking at any point in time before. oh well.
  12. well, i mean you can use the calculator and come up with the same numbers i do. it depends on how many seats you want, in what section, and how many parking passes (if you get one). its 704 a seat, with tax, for the cheaper seats and 869 a seat for the better seats. that doesn't include parking or the shipping and handling fee, or the tax associated with either being added to the cost.
  13. Yup just added that lol edit: OH! and 10% PG county amusement tax. Can't forget that!
  14. Upper level endzone and upper level sideline rows 16+ are 64$/seat/game. upper level sideline rows 1-15 are 79$/seat/game. remember to include the 2 preseason games in your calculation. Green parking is the same for everyone - $350 a year + 3$ online transaction fee + 25$ shipping and handling fee + 10% pg county amusement tax.
  15. Well, you got what everyone gets every year - whether they are on the season ticket waiting list, or already have season tickets. Thats the 'Hey, buy these premium (club) seats for x years, and we'll give you seats in y section aftewards' As far as I'm aware, they actually hold up their end of the deal - you will get what they promised. However, it's not the only way to get seats. And it's a contract - you're committing to the entire thing. You can't just bail after one season, they'll go after you in court (as they should, it's a contract you signed.). It's not the same as GA tickets which are year to year. It's their way of selling club seats. You certainly don't have to do it, and in my opinion (unless you have cash to burn) you're better off snagging tickets on craigslist/ebay until you come up for GA tickets. There are quite a few people here that would argue you're better off doing that instead of GA tickets in general They offered to put me in on the LL sideline if I bought 3 years of club tickets (6k a year) first. Thats 18k to move to the lower level side line. I'm not paying 18k to move to the lower level sideline. I'll wait my turn through auto upgrades like everyone else.
  16. So I went back, June 1st was the first reports of upgrades taking place. Shortly after that post you see people reporting their new tickets showing up in their invoice online for the lower level: http://www.extremeskins.com/showthread.php?344991-Season-Ticket-Renewals&p=8324693&viewfull=1#post8324693 so yeah, we got a few more months to go. I'd be shocked if they ran it any earlier this year, but i suppose it's possible if the rush to renew due to drafting RG3 or Luck is big enough.
  17. i wouldn't expect to see upgrade evidence until may at the earliest. I forget how early we saw it last year, might need to go back and look... they're giving people who 'forgot', or just decided late, a chance to renew their tickets first. they're going to wait until we draft our QB at #2, because (dumb or not) there will be people who renew their tickets depending on that. the upper deck vs LL endzone debate is one that is subjective. personally - i like the view of the field better from the UL sideline more than LL endzone. but i like the less walking part of the LL endzone, and the 'energy' is better simply because it feels louder. i haven't been in the LL with the new TV's, but before we got the new TV's it sucked when the ball was on the other side of the field - a problem you don't have in the upper levels, even in the endzone where i spent 4 years.
  18. this shouldn't really upset you. i think by now everyone realizes the team is having trouble selling tickets. the only way to fix that is to adjust the cost, or justify the cost by producing a winning team. they can adjust cost now, they can't produce a winning team in march. they can't just lower prices, because if they do then when they're winning they'll take bad press for raising prices. so they waive fees to try to get people to sign up. standard business practice, nothing to get upset about.

  20. Yeah. It's a tough sell. I know it's a common to hear about people 'giving up' on the team, and it normally comes along with some question of your fandom... but it's really really hard to justify signing up for 10 games (2 preseason) when you know tickets will be available if they're good or not. i do it because i (now) go to all the games, and would rather do it this way then buying it on craigslist or ebay or anywhere else. admittedly its lazyness and stupidity.
  21. Looking at the seating chart I believe you're considered sideline. Yeah, thats going to be the increase. so 150$ a year per seat not including taxes/fees.
  22. What section are you trying to move up in? At this point i believe the pricing structure breaks down like this: endzone upper level - 64 sideline upper level rows 16+ - 64 sideline upper level rows 1-15 - 79 (maybe 76?) lower level GA - 99 edit: interesting thing... i was in the endzone 44$ seats last year (the sections that have since been removed). so i was moved to 64$ seating and was only required to pay 44$. This year they're still 44$, which was not what i was expecting...
  23. just got mine today. seems a bit early, but whatever. ---------- Post added January-16th-2012 at 10:46 AM ---------- so the upgrade options are: if you're in rows 1-15 in the upper level you should choose to move to lower level endzone if you're in rows 16+ in the upper level you should choose to move to the lower section in your level so i'm in row 16 in the upper level what happens if I choose to move to endzone ? (i'm going to call them later today and discuss this with them, but wanted to see if anyone else already has.)
  24. my plan is to continue to upgrade my seats while the team is down. hopefully, with decreased demand the way it is, i can be at decent LL seats for 2013 and the team will be good. i didn't say it was a smart plan, just that it is my current plan.
  25. So then I take it if you don't purchase the tickets, you lose the PSL since you're not fulfilling your requirements. Which means a PSL is essentially a tax on the privilege to buy tickets... which is what I thought it was... what a crock, I cannot believe anyone would buy them. edit: the whole system reminds me of the housing bubble nonsense before it collapsed. here, we justify this price because when you're ready you'll be able to see it for more than what you paid for it. so just consider it an investment. it'll always go up in value. we promise
