I'll have to revise an earlier post of mine: the John Wall effect is still active. Porter has been awesome from 3 this year. Just like Dudley, Butler, Ariza, and Webster before him.

4th quarter offense sucked, as did Beal for the whole game, but still happy for a road win. That's 2 bad games in a row for Beal, though; he needs to get it together. Halfway through the season, 23 wins. Not bad. If our win pct after the 2-8 start continues, we will reach exactly 50 wins. It'll be tough with more road games in the 2nd half of the season though.

Poor performance from Beal, yet we still beat a winning team from the West. We are tied with Cleveland for the most home wins in the East (3rd in win% - Indy). Now if we could just start winning some games on the road. Chance to prove ourselves over the next few games.

Another thing, our FT shooting seems to have improved.

Would've liked to avoid the rough start, but the result was still what we expected. Now let's stay above .500 this time.

The context is the early posts in this thread, which were mocking the notion that the Giants might be a contender this year. They had a bad game, but many folks were thinking that they might go far in the playoffs with how their D was playing. The long-term management of the team was only part of what was discussed.

I have to admit, their spending spree on D doesn't look so bad now.

Not how I wanted it to happen, but I'll take the W. It still feels like we're not playing to our potential.

It was so strange to me that we didn't keep Anderson. I really liked him in his limited action last year, and he wasn't even 100%.

Yeah not sure why Brooks didn't call TO during that run. Oh well, good win! Our D still sucks though. Why the hell didn't Gortat challenge Wiggins on that baseline drive by Porter near the end?

Yep, we're putting it together now. Barring further injury, I think we make the playoffs, and could end up as high as #3.

#1 needs to be un-scratched off, but if yesterday was any indication, #3 may need to be scratched off soon.

I'm not sure what I think of this team. There are times where it looks like they're getting it together, others where I'm on the verge of throwing in the towel until next year.

Why did Sato not play? Disappointing outcome, but things seem to be coming together. If we were playing like we are now from the start of the season, our record would be better than it is.
