I know I sound like a broken record here, but is there something in particular that Nicholson did or didn't do that's causing him to be behind Smith in the rotation? If we're going to trade for Cousins, then one of Gortat/Mahinmi has to be a part of the deal, rather than more of our wings than it would've been.

I had in mind his 20+ ppg avg to this point in the season. Obviously it's skewed somewhat by that 40+ point game recently, but we'll see if it holds. He has a string of 20+ pt games going now.

Looks like Beal might finally be becoming the player we'd hoped he could be.

Ya know, if........... 1) Mahinmi rejoins the lineup 2) Brooks stops playing Smith over Nicholson 3) Oubre takes a substantial step forward in his development this year 4) Thornton can become more consistent ........then we could actually have a respectable bench. One has already happened, though he'll still need more time to get in the flow of things. Another is instantly correctable. Another may happen, we'll have to be patient. Another probably won't happen.

I know it keeps being asked, but the same problem keeps occurring............. Why the heck is Smith playing over Nicholson?

There doesn't appear to be a recipient of the John Wall effect this year. Marginal SFs like Webster, Ariza, Butler, Dudley suddenly being among the best 3pt% shooters in the league......don't see anything like that this year.

It's very frustrating. Just a short time ago we had 4 players who hit over 100 3pt shots in a single season, one of whom came close to 200, but now we have a very hard time with it.

Why didn't we keep Alan Anderson? We could've used his shooting.

Frustrating that we let them back in it, and also that Wall failed to produce 10+ assists in a game when he grabbed 10+ rebounds, but a win is a win.

Goodness, what a terrible 4th qtr!! What the heck, guys?? Yeah Wall is still getting a feel for things, but geez, that wasn't the reason for that late meltdown.

If Cleveland repeats against GS next year, James instantly becomes the GOAT.

Obviously it sucks not landing KD or another AS, and of course it also sucks not booting Ernie, but I'm very curious to see how much better we'll be minus Wittless. I think this roster is better than last year's record showed. I'd kinda like to retain Alan Anderson if possible. Course, if Beal gets hurt again.......

Call me crazy, but I still believe that this team, post-Morris trade, was a healthy roster and a better coach away from comfortably being a playoff team, and possibly as good as the #2 team in the East. During the games where this team fired on all cylinders and came ready to play, we saw that our team was very tough to beat. A better coach will go a long way toward having that come more consistently.

So has there been any word on what the plan is for Nene? I wouldn't mind giving him a 1-year extension at a greatly reduced price.

Yes but he had surgery in the offseason, and if memory serves, he was on a minutes restriction early on, and it took him a bit to find his groove here.
