  1. We're back all the way to the Super Blow baby
  2. I cannot wait to see Brady trying to elude Montez and Chase
  3. One way to beat Brady is to pound him early and force him to start screaming at his OL. A helmet on the chin early will cause internal distention. I want to see him blaming everyone for his immobility. Try and get him to check out early. Chase Young is just the man for the job.
  4. I see Alex got first team. I will stick to my hunch and predict we see both QBs on Sunday, hopefully using each to their strengths.
  5. The fact that backup QBs can come in ice COLD and perform well for a few series makes me think using 2 QBs as needed in random weeks of the year can help teams win games, and take pressure off a young QB. I think we have all seen an OL suddenly start playing better with a new QB. People just fight more for other guys, I dunno what it is but a solid play or 2 gets them buying in. Many seem to argue letting a backup QB get snaps forever ruins the confidence of a young QB. I call bunk many studs at other positions jog off and see their backup doing well and survive just fine. Throwing INTs fumbling and horrendous QB play with NO threat of being benched makes for a worse QB. The QB gets spoiled and too big of an ego and inevitably comes crashing back to reality anyways. Humble Pie FTW.
  6. Designed runs FTW. Hell Read Option got RG3 into the playoffs. Hurts is going to be running all over us.
  7. Going Ugly Early A novel, by an unnamed college virgin circa 1983
  8. Sorry Mrs Smith fans but ExtremeTeam ™ © has spoken. We want to see Taylor on Sunday. Heh I like the name. Our new fight song. WE. ARE. EXTREME TEAM.
  9. If he had won in his one quarter and locked in our playoff spot, and if he never took another snap he would likely still be a cult hero for the next decade. I wonder if his play in that quarter was a big reason Haskins was axed the next day, more than Haskins failings. You don't dump Haskins unless you have someone better and RR saw he did. I think we all did....
  10. I boldly predict if Mike Bragg Heins starts we will score on our opening drive for the first time this season. Philly is not easy to run against but Gibson ain't easy to tackle so I kind of see a push there. Our O may come down to trickery, or more likely #4 making plays. OT I am hoping Zdeno Chara TE bumps Sprinkle to inactive.
  11. Oh yeah, Turner clearly likes the kid and that definitely bodes well for our mission. I am fine with Heiny starting next week and if he tanks he tanks and lets have Alex working middle relief. I kind of see the game largely being decided on how our D handles Hertz. We will be game managing, our choice of QB may not be of utmost importance. No turnovers. RUN GIBSON. Last game was a twilight zone classic. RR stewing inside can't take it anymore and finally yanks Haskins late only to see Haskins run on the field like Leslie Neilsen in Airplane 'we're all counting on you' completely confused on how to act. And then bolts after the game... its almost a jekyll and HIDE stunt. And then a 15OA cut a day later even though our starter is injured. And we saw our WR drop the easiest of catches... our noobie coulda been a contendah. I have a hunch we will see him on Sunday in some capacity. Smith may well be forced in, and not 100%. Although I am sure he will be happy to hear Fletcher ****ing Cox is out.
  12. We often hear a backup QB will be better with first team reps for a week. I kinda feel like that is offset by a DC actually game planning for them for a week. OT a bit but I like to force a DC to game plan for 2 QBs. And I still call bunk that a team can only use one QB. Seeing Fitzmagic come in as a relief pitcher just works. Tayson pushing Brees to the sideline inside the red zone works. If Alex is limping but playing maybe he can get spelled by Heinie as a change up. It looks to me like Alex has lost a lot of mobility. Maybe we will see a week 17 surprise at least some tight to the vest play by RR to make it tougher on Philly.
  13. We're back! Here's to hoping he has a huge game and makes for an easier day for Haskins and of course, a glorious team victory.
  14. Ill be a salmon and predict if he plays he is not going to get a light workload. My thinking is why play him if he's not ready, and our offense needs him as much as Alex. I do think he will be hindered in some way maybe slight pain who knows. I did see Finlay or someone else tweet that he got first team reps maybe Tuesday but I didnt see it mentioned on any fantasy sites. RR is playing it tight me thinks. Game plan for Haskins and Barber, they are getting Alex and Antonio ****es. To the fellow 'blers out there go all in on Gibson and show your "team" colors.
  15. Seems like Turbo has cooled off the same time that Gibson has been out. Not sure who to start in my FF Champ... he or James Rob also limping...
  16. Turf toes come in different flavors. I am fearing this is a more severe grade injury. If it was a minor toe they would have taped him up and had him trot out for a practice. This sucks ass. The score will dictate if we get to see Barber or McKissic more.
  17. Faaaaa I made my Fantasy playoffs have a bye but am not sure I can trust Gibson in week 15 regardless. I doubt Warren will vault Babar who I see getting more of the Gibson role over McKissic. CT would pinch hit and tote the mail but that was under different management. Shanahan would just play whoever looked good in practice. Gruden, whoever wasn't hanging with his.... Rivera... who knows.
  18. I am still pissed he tripped on his first big run. Thus far he is a Cowboy killer.
  19. Hey i was the original debbie downer postulating that maybe our run blocking had a big hand in his huge game and nice run of late. Did you see those outside runs from what seems like 2 weeks ago? Maybe they were run from gun. I hate how so many coaches make their QBs spend so much time under center. It seems so dated. The QB has to squat stick his hand under a sweaty ass and being so close to the LOS cannot see nearly as well. And then running away from where he is trying to throw, facing the sideline chin over his shoulder. We all know defenses attack at the LOS more than ever and a QBUC has to run for his life vs a QB in gun throwing his hot and never getting close to getting killed by the LBs shooting the As. I remember being annoyed that Jay refused to run Perine from pistol, the only formation he had ever done well in.
  20. I love Gibson running outside. I feel like the first half of the season he was used up the gut almost exclusively. 2 games ago, he was killing it outside. Maybe it was a pigment of my imagination but we kinda suuuuuck ass on toss sweeps over the past decade.... like we don't do them. Probably from Shanny days I love seeing the zone stretch runs left, and then right. Get those fat ass DL running sideline to sideline and go hurry up on them for 3rd down (something the beaver refused to even try). With the hands Gibson has, we don't have to trot him off every passing down and slow play and let the D sub in fresh DL.
  21. Has our run blocking also improved as Gibson has? Not to take anything away from him but we have all seen great backs do little with garbage OL run blocking, Barry aside. Or maybe our opponents run D were in play as well. FTR I do have Gibson on my sole year long fantasy but I think we are also seeing good run blocking of late. Look at the hole on the 3rd TD run... that was great all around and as usual, the back gets the accolades.
  22. Much more... I am not sure I would go there just yet. I would be interested to see CP as a full time RB before saying that. And for Gibson to bring a few kickoffs to the house. CP is a proven vet a jock of all trades and very tough runner.
  23. Gibson, WR It's what really separates him from his RB peers. He is a Cordarrelle Patterson type without a WR number.
  24. My vote is always to call him what his teammate call him, or his name. Or whatever is easiest to type. Meh sticking to the team theme of bland names, we will call him: Player Name. Still loving his monster day as Ewok **** the bed and fumbled again. They should really consider using Pollard going forward.
  25. Who are these guys. I like em! That huge hole for Gibson on his 3rd TD was a thing a beauty and back breaker in one, which ruined thanksgiving proper for our preferred enemy. I am so glad Callahan is finally gone. His OL units couldn't handle stunts, repeatedly and couldn't even establish an identity. I still wonder about his super blow loss and abandoning the gamplan/playbook that set even his star players off.
