  1. Ovi misses the first open netter but gets the second one for 802!
  2. I think you are wrong in your way of thinking. Howell has been here learning for a whole year and if he is the guy you have to go with him. He was projected to go in the first round and there is a value in that rather than spending on yet another castaway. Who says he is going to waste away Terry's years. Maybe he will make him and others super stars instead. He is accurate and is tough and mobile. He has all the traits you want in a QB. You are not going to get that lucky again.
  3. Turner and team will need to come out firing and with no game turning mistakes. I still think it is a winnable game though. Moxie or pixie dust whatever it takes needs to happen.
  4. I have a great idea! Just roll with Howell than Love or anyone else for that matter for the 23 season.
  5. Then you live to play the 4th down instead but turning the ball over was not an option. I would have preferred BRob here instead with a 4 downs terrority mentality but that is another conversation to be had.
  6. You should go back and watch that play again. He had room to run to his right but couldn't make it. Then he tries to push the defender with his left hand and exposing the football. This is when he should have just tucked the ball instead and taken the sack since he was not going to able to throw it away. Sometimes you have to give up the hero ball mentality. I know it is hard for him to do that since he likes to make something out of nothing. But smarter play would have been just to take a sack like man since you are in the redzone and can't afford to lose the ball and take away at least 3 points off the baord. So full blame on this fumble.
  7. The first sack fumble scoop td goes to Turner. Even Jay Gruden said can't call a long developing pass play there and should have been a run. TH hands gets hit as he is releasing the ball. But the second sack fumbler is on TH for not holding to the ball as he is going down.
  8. I blame the coaches for not fielding a better OL. We wouldn't be having these conversations right now and winning with Wentz instead.
  9. For this team it is since they grind it out and the defense can hold the other team to less than them. We are not high powered offense we were supposed to be by getting Wentz. ☹️
  10. NFL QB Index, Week 16: Rank 20 UP 2 Spots Taylor Heinicke Washington Commanders · Year 5 2022 stats: 8 games | 61.4 pct | 1,693 pass yds | 7.0 ypa | 10 pass TD | 5 INT | 100 rush yds | 1 rush TD | 6 fumbles Heinicke's hot-and-cold act was on display in Sunday night's bitter loss to the Giants. Minutes after firing a pretty 61-yard deep shot to Jahan Dotson, Heinicke fumbled away the ball in the red zone. That came midway through the fourth quarter, long after Washington's quarterback was separated from the football by Kayvon Thibodeaux, New York's emerging rookie pass rusher who recovered his own handiwork and barreled in for a 1-yard score. Still, it wasn't Heinicke's decision to punt from New York's 34- and 40-yard line early in the affair. And it wasn't Heinicke who failed to call Darnay Holmes for defensive pass interference on the quarterback's final prayer dart to Curtis Samuel.
  11. Just the ears lol Kyle Andrew Siciliano
  12. Not sure if anyone listens to JP's podcast where he sits down with Ron on a weekly basis. Here is the link: https://art19.com/shows/washington-football The sit down starts at the 37:30 mark. Two bullet points on Taylor. What do you think of Taylor’s performance? I thought it had it’s moment. Lots of positive moments. Need to secure the ball a little better. We took some shots and we got two of those shots and were pretty big. If we had gotten the ball to Curtis a little cleaner that would have been catch and a run for a TD. On Taylor starting 20 games so far. We need to play to his strength and continue to do that. He is not going to able to do stuff as well as the other guy. That is what we have tried to do. We need to make sure we don’t get behind the chains. That has helped him and the stuff he does has been beneficial. But when we get behind and the stuff he does is not as quite beneficial.
  13. Paulsen sounds like a stand up guy to me. Don't think he does favoritism from what I can tell. @Skinsinparadise Paulsen earlier today on ESPN980 said Turner gets cute in the redzone. I think we all have said that as well. The Taylor sack fumble should have been a run since we only needed like 3 yards and Turner is calling a pass play there. Like you said not all is on Taylor and that is true. Ron saying we need to work on the redzone stuff only to come out after two weeks and nothing to show for. Turner at times tries too hard in the redzone than he needs to I feel.
  14. The team is still playing to get into the playoffs so Ron is not going to put Howell in. Also this allows them to say, if Wentz fails, look we gave you a shot and so sorry it didn't work out. But if Wentz plays extremely well they could decide to bring him back. I would imagine it would have to be at a lower cost. Only way it would make sense to gamble on him again. Now, as for Howell, I liked him over all others on pro day. I was excited when we got him and couldn't believe something went right our way. I wanted a rookie franchise type QB to start in 23 anyway. So yes I would prefer we go that route instead of Wentz. I hope they do. I really do.
  15. That cheap vet might be Wentz. If another team is not going to pay him more. Plus familiarity with Turner's offense as well. But my ultimate preference would be starting Howell next year.
  16. I saw it on game day and was like man only if he had ran to his left. Ron said he thought he was going for the pylon dive but their DE blocked him. I think TH was locked and loaded for the pylon dive so he didn't see that if he had run to his left that was a TD.
