  2. I promise I won't be a distraction. I will happily be dragged over hot coals by Howell for a whole year.
  3. A wise man once said: "One in hand is better than two in the bushes." But let's not get ahead ourselves. The team still has to be sold first. If it is sold by March or something then Ron and Co. will have at least one more year in the transition.
  4. A Cowboys fan ready to stick it to the boys next year? hmmmmm... I really like this kid already!
  5. Okay let's not confuse me with what some had said to what I didn't even say. I am not part of the everyone bucket! I never said to run the damn ball. I wanted to see Howell's throwing and accuracy ability instead. You run the ball if you are trying to win a game. This game we didn't have to do that or to see how our run game is/was stupid to begin with. Not saying you don't run the ball you do but run, run pass constantly was stupid. Moreover, with a potential starting QB for next year you need to see the passing game from him instead.
  6. Well you can thank Turner for that. The constant run, run, pass plays will do that. They got Wentz to stretch the field but let's not do that with Howell lol
  7. Since 2014 If I remember correctly.
  8. Can I give dud to Terry for throwing the football in the stands as it was Howell's 1st TD pass in the NFL? Hopefully they are able to get that back for him. I see some are saying the stats were Taylor like but the reality was Turner kept on calling run, run, pass plays more than needed to be. If you are trying to see how is the new QB in the passing game you do more passes in a game that doesn't even matter except to see what the future can be. Turner most of the times can't get out of his own way.
  9. But is Turner really gone after this year? With the potential sale of the team? I am counting that into my config.
  10. Absolutely. I have been pinning for our own franchise guy, like for ever and I only saw Taylor as a stop gap for this year anyway. Is Howell it? I don't know. I sure hope he is though.
  11. My problem is that even if you get a new OC you are going to set the team back - ala Al Saunders.
  12. I know you all gave me a good beating for saying Wentz isn't all that but at least we found out before trying to offer him a longer stay. Hopefully Ron isn't that stupid now that after starting Howell and seeing what he can bring to the table.
  13. Turner will be back. Doesn't make any sense since the team is on sale and it might be '24 before the new owners take fully control. . I know you don't like Taylor but we did win 5 games with him and with Turner still on the staff that is like not a bad idea if he needs to come in and hold down the fort, so to speak.
  14. The first time I bet against the team and we win. Note to self - Bet against the team, every time, next year lol
  15. Nope. After today, home game, beating the ****ing cowgirls, if I hear that then these fans need to turn over their fan cards!
  16. The problem I have with this that they will need to learn Turner's offence. If that is the case then Taylor is the better option. Think simple and not try to over think it.
  17. I would really like Howell starting in 23 and Taylor as the backup. I think he has earned that.
  18. That was me. I only said Marotta as a last resort since almost everyone here was so against Taylor and I was thinking more futuristic. But the funny thing is that I said Taylor and build the OL and DL and that was back in 2021 when the thread was started. I was way ahead of Ron lol I also said to draft a QB in 23 as 22 was not a good QB draft and better for other positions. But I still looked at the QBs for 22. Out of all of the QBs in 22 - I was watching the Pro-Day and they kept on saying how accurate Howell was. I was like too bad we won't be able to get him. I was really glad that we got him and I really didn't care it was in the 5th round. I knew he was a lot better than that. Am I saying he will be the next Brady. Nope. But he has lots of protentional. I like to see what he can be though. Hopefully for us.
  19. I was never high on Wentz to begin with. The Jags game was an anomaly. My exact words in the offseason (which I got dumped on): Wentz is slightly better than Taylor.
