  1. I see some others are starting to recognize the same thing I recognized the very first game he came back. Robinson is just not very impressive running the ball. We will see but he certainly has not been the firepower many were talking about before he started actually playing.
  2. Anyway you crack it, this was a total disaster and this coaching group has to own it. It is really shocking they got it so wrong. Well maybe not all things considered.
  3. Wow! There are 16 teams in the NFL worse than this team? That is really hard to believe.
  4. This is what his response should have been to that question about the difference between this rebuild and others. Well, we lost two starting offensive lineman one by our choice one by his choice. The scrubs that we as the front office and coaching staff chose to replace those starters have turned out to be just that, scrubs. So that's on us, the front office and coaches. We knew going into the offseason that we had problems at linebacker but through free agency and the draft, we chose to ignore it and go with what we had. That decision has not worked out so that is on us, the front office and coaches. We signed a free agent cornerback last year who soaks up the second most cap space on our team who was awful last year and no better this year. So either we as a coaching staff and front office did not do a very good job of evaluating this individuals talent and how it could fit into our scheme or we have not done a very good job of developing a defensive scheme that highlights his talents because he has now been benched. So that's on us as a front office and coaching staff. Our offensive coordinator could not come up with an offensive game plan that could net us more than a 1 for 14 conversion rate on 3rd down yesterday. That's on us as a coaching staff. And yes, our quarterback could have played better, hell everyone could have played better in these games but it starts with the coaches and front office and to this point in our tenure here, we have not done a very good job. That would have been a more appropriate and actually more accurate response to that question.
  5. I really don't. I have been a fan starting back in the 70's when i started to watch football. Watched every game on TV. Was lucky enough to get to see a game in RFK and see Art Monk play back in the day when RFK was always sold out. Manage to get season tickets at Fed Ex about ten years ago. Drove 100 miles each way to attend home games. Finally just gave up on that because of the losing and the opposing teams taking over the stadium so gave them up and just stayed home and watched on TV. Two years ago I stopped watching the games on Sunday. There were just more interesting things to spend a Sunday afternoon doing. Four games in and I have not watched a single game this year. Thank you Dan for ruining something that I really enjoyed at one time.
  6. So lets just rewind a bit here. Ron has coached 11 complete seasons in the NFL. Out of those 11 seasons, 8 of those seasons have resulted in 7 wins or less and 3 have been what you would call respectable. He was fired by his former team because of losing. And if you look at what they have done in Carolina since he left, he really did not leave a team that you could say was ready to win. Probably half of the coaches he had on that staff he brought with him and goodness knows how many former Carolina players are and have been on this team. And he also hired his former GM from Carolina. So 73% of the time over 11 years, he has failed to win more than seven games. Considering the old saying about the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results,(bringing all of your baggage from your previous unsuccessful stint) what should the fan base really have expected. Throw in all of the distractions of the ownership scandals and you have even more hurdles to overcome. Ron's past says he will get you 5 to 7 wins per season. That is about what we are getting. Some people say oh but Ron is changing the culture. Really? As a fan of any team, I want the main aspect of the culture of my team to be a winning culture. We are no closer to a winning culture here now than we were before Ron got here.
  7. Other than the rookie running back there was nothing positive coming out of this game. The defense can't get off the field and the offense can't stay on the field. That is simply not a good combination for success. JP just said the starting defense has not yet forced a punt from the starting quarterback on the other side. That pretty much says all you need to know.
  8. Very familiar with this stretch of road. Was just through there last week going to the airport. Cannot imagine why he would be trying to cross that road. It is at least 6 maybe eight lanes of highway there with alot of traffic. Haskins caught alot of slack here in DC and some of it rightly so. As fans we were all ticked because he used a high draft pick and it didn't work out. This just really puts everything in prospective in terms of what is really important in life. So sad for the young man and his family. RIP
  9. Wagner was never coming here period. He said he wanted to play for a contender. (doesn't everybody) I would argue that is even more a big factor with someone like him who has always played for a contender. That eliminated this franchise from him even looking this way since this franchise has not resembled a contender in what 25 plus years.
  10. I had the privilege of meeting Charlie Taylor at a golf event about 20 years ago. I was to young to remember his first years in the NFL but was a Skins fan and watching football by the end of his career and remember him very well. Even though he never won a Super Bowl, he was very fortunate to have at least experienced a Super Bowl and as importantly to be associated with the team when they were actually a respected franchise in the NFL and a feared Team on the field. RIP in Charlie. Hail #42.
  11. Jerri said it was Super Bowl or bust. Looks like u busted Jerri. Hey Dallas fans. Your team sucks.
  12. I think Scherff is gone. I love his leadership and the fact that we drafted him but it does not make sense to pay top dollar money for a guard who misses multiple games every year. Durability is as meaningful as ability and he needs to understand that. But there will be somebody out there that will pay him knowing he is injury prone. So be it.
  13. Went into the day thinking we would pick between 7 and 11. Ended up with the worst possible scenario. Sounds about right for this franchises luck.
  14. What I learned from watching this game is that indeed there is at least one offense in the NFL that is worse than the wft. The Giants are awful.
  15. We just scored 6 points in a half playing our starters, which makes no sense to me but that's another topic, on one of the worst teams in the NFL. The future is bright.
  16. Winning this game means nothing to this season other than draft position. And draft position even one or two places can be huge especially when you are in need of a quarterback. I think we should sit our Stars to eliminate a chance of any serious injury that would have to be rehabbed over the summer and let the young guys play. What's that you say? We don't have any stars on this team. Yeah maybe you're right. Lol
  17. This fan base clamored for a long time to get an experienced coaching staff. That finally happened, or so we thought, with the hiring of Coach R and Coach Del Rio. And now they can put on their resume that they got beat twice in the same year by a division rival and rookie NFL quarterback and a defensive coordinator, young enough to be their sons. lol So much for experience.
  18. Coach r about to take his moral victory lap about how proud he is of everybody how they bounced back from an epic ass whipping last week ya da ya da.
  19. We are also good at signing high priced free agent wide outs from the Panthers who stay hurt and never see the field. We are on #2 now.
  20. Win with quarterback who has been on the roster for three days and who no one knows who the heck he is or they are done. That is pretty much the situation.
  21. This kind of crap can only happen to this team. It's called the Dan Snyder curse.
  22. Never an easy win for this team. They always have to make it hard. That penalty was pay back for that bull**** TD overturn.
  23. Never an easy win for this team. They always have to make it hard
